The project involved the development of an application that matched people based on their interests. A website
developed in JSP + Java with MySQL and Oracle PL/SQL for an online Social Matching System. HTML with
CSS was used to create the interface.
Data Analysis on Gowalla Location-Based Social Network Sep 2013 – Dec 2013
A data analysis on Gowalla dataset that contains 6 million records was conducted. MySQL was used to
manipulate the dataset and data visualization tools such as Minitab and Tableau were used to perform data
analysis.
Requirements Analysis, Specification & Prototyping for NJIT Online System Jan 2013 – Mar 2013
Worked through the SDLC using AGILE software development methodology, starting from gathering
requirements, designing UI to developing prototypes using Axure RP. Conducted Graphical User Interface
testing on the prototype to ensure requirements were met as specified.
User Interface Design for Social Matching Mobile Application Sep 2012 – Dec 2012
A research was conducted on patents and papers that related to social networking. The project included persona
development, problem scenario development, activity scenario, extensive creation of key path scenarios through
rapid prototyping using Axure RP. Claim analysis method was applied for the purpose of documenting the
impact of new features or designs on UI usability and user experience.
