Client: Entergy (Member of the Migration and Upgrade team)
The major activities performed were
1. The project is to migrate Entergy's existing R/3 & BW SAP Infrastructure
to SAP on Private Cloud Flexpod environment.
2. Migrated SAP R/3 4.7 Extension Set 110 (4.7 X 110) NUC SAP System on
Oracle 10g from Solaris to Linux and Oracle 11g database
3. Migrated SAP NW 04, BW-ABAP 3.5 NUC SAP System from Solaris to Linux and
Oracle 11g database
4. R/3 DB size was 11 TB & BW DB size was 15 TB
5. The upgrade phase of the project is to upgrade Entergy's existing R/3
4.7 & BW 3.5 SAP system to ECC 6.0 EHP6 and BW 7.3 respectively.

The project consisted of a 13 member team (BS15000
Certified) which operated 24*7 at the client location (Microsoft
Campus, Hyderabad) and monitored and resolved user-related issues
for MSS (Manager Self Services), APO (Advanced Planner and
Optimizer), GTS (Global Trading and Services) and BW (Business
Warehousing) operations in production, test and development
environments running on servers across the globe. Gained
extensive hands-on knowledge on SAP interfaces
The main activities were:
o Batch job creation & monitoring. Managing Variants.
o Creating users with the corresponding roles in Production, Test
and Development environments, creating roles and performing user
comparison
o Checking the availability of roles after a particular system
refresh and determining whether a re-transport of the role is
required by working with the corresponding team
