STUDY AND I MPLEMENTATION O F MTD USING DIGITAL FIR FILTER BANK-

Project in DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organization) : - MTI and MTD are two

schemes used in Radar to remove clutter returns from stationary objects. The purpose is to reject

returns from stationary or slow moving objects and retain returns from moving objects like aircrafts.

MTI uses the Doppler shift imparted by the moving objects on the return signal to distin guish

between moving and fixed objects. Doppler filter bank is a set of contiguous filters for detecting

targets. Multiple moving targets can be separated by one another in a filter bank.

Role: Programming in MATLAB.

LASER BASED COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (FREE-SPACE OPTICAL COMMUNICATION ): -

Free-space optical communication (FSO) is an optical communication technology that uses light

propagating in space to wirelessly transmit data for telecommunications or computer networking.

"Free space" means air, outer space, vacuum, or something similar. This contrasts with using solids

such as optical fiber cable or an optical transmission line. The technology is useful where the

physical connections are impractical due to high costs or other considerations.

Role: Electronic design and Soldering.
