Director of IT (2006-2011)
Promoted to this IT leadership role, managing a team of 21 direct and indirect reports responsible for hardware and
systems support, internal systems programming, and internet and mobile technologies. Implemented ITIL best
practices to improve service which provided the cost benefits from improved productivity as a result of
streamlining work processes. Interacted with clients and C-Level personnel, managing B2C and B2B websites
during all phases of SDLC.
Architecture:
• Project leader for the infrastructure planning, designing, scheduling, and cost estimating in the relocation of
six distribution centers in Massachusetts, Florida, Texas, California, New Jersey, and Indiana.
• Collaborated with business units to implement improvements to distribution centers operations, utilizing
Citrix Desktop and Avaya Phone services, adding significant savings per year in phone and desktop support.
• Ensured availability of systems to ship between 8,000 and 14,000 orders per day using VMware Servers
and HP Eva San for redundancy and failover.
• Created the EDI architecture and directed the implementation of EDI for multiple applications utilizing
middleware such as Microsoft BizTalk and SQL Server allowing the automation of orders to grow from 35% to
65% per year. (EDI sets used: 810,820, 824,832,850,852,856,864 to and from vendors).
• Managed and provided leadership to the systems admin group for the maintenance of 1 UNIX (HPux)
server, 6 Linux (Redhat variants), and 60 windows 2003/Windows 2008 servers.
• Led the enterprise team on the design and development of highly complex, large-scale internet and backend
applications on Unix/Linux/Windows platforms, crossing multiple business lines allowing the flexibility of
integrating existing software with newer technologies.
• Designed Data Warehouse to integrate and centralize data from ERP, Sage CRM and Commerce Server
Web systems using SQL Server 2005 and BizTalk for reporting and data analysis of customer and vendor
buying trends.
IT Governance:
• Legal Compliance – Governance / Risk / Compliance (GRC): Maintained policies and procedures for PCI,
MA 201 CRM 17, Sarbanes Oxley, HIPAA.
• Partnered with Cap Gemini to host an independently audited SAS70 Type II Datacenter for B2B and B2C
websites, reducing the cost of IT operations by up to 20%.
• Developed a comprehensive IT Disaster Recovery plan utilizing SunGard and Cap Gemini services.
• Participated in annual PwC and E&Y audits for Sarbanes Oxley Compliance, consistently receiving audit results
with no deficiencies.
Web Development:
• Managed global B2B (Microsoft Commerce Server) and B2C (Magento) websites, utilizing offshore (Cofa
Media) and onshore team of engineers, QAs and UX designers to develop features and functionality for

Initially recruited to oversee, develop, and coach a team of programmers responsible for applications development.
