tools, drills etc...
I lifted tires off assembly line onto the truck, used electric tools to put on lug nuts.
Transferred to paint line after nine years that included spray painting the trucks as they
came down the line then opening both left side of doors removing tape from side of doors
wiping them down.
Welder / Supervisor

Responsibilities
Was to start on the assembly line the day I started but I took the initiative to ask the head
supervisor if I could learn how to weld, He asked me if I thought I could do it, and I of
course said yes. He gave me three days to weld perfect welds that included forty welds on
one side and then flip them over and do forty more welds put them on the cart slot them
in a slotting machine and reload all in less than three minutes. On the third day my welds
where perfect and I had done it in a minute and forty-three seconds. From that day on I
was officially a welder. After six years I became a welding supervisor, training
employees, interviewed potential employees and I supervised twenty-five + welders all
the way down the production line of assembly and inspection. I was responsible for
meeting production needs or to exceed them. I completed all paper work and entered it in
the computer, such as quality records, scrap reports, rework, and machine logs. I assessed
work for errors or compliance issues and made corrections and modification when
necessary. I examined welds for bead size and other specifications. Used measured
instruments to verify compliance with precise specifications. I changed over machines
when company was running a different product.
Accomplishments
I have always enjoyed working in the manufacturing field and having the opportunity to
advance my skills in different areas. I am a quick learner but I do my job correctly.
