Production Co.)
Worked for Shell Exploration & Production in Deepwater G.O.M. Block M.C.807A on
the MARS TLP as an Instrumentation / Compliance Technician (A.C.R.)
Responsibilities were Regulatory and Compliance testing (450 plus components
total most monthly). Updating and Auditing of B.S.E.E. / Coast Guard files and
folders on facility. Other responsibilties were to diagnose, tune, and repair
Automated Control Systems. Including but not limited to (Gas Compressors, VRU'S,
Waste Heat Recovery, Instrument Air Systems, DVA & Sub- Sea Well Autochokes,
Sub Sea HPU's, UmbelicalTerminating Panels,PSV's, FSV's, SSV's, Well Control
Panels, etc Participate in equipment walkdowns and perform necessary repairs
of equipment. Order new or rebuild equipment for inventory, maintain all instrument
calibrations and calibration reports filing, shipping and recieving parts for repair &
return, also generate work orders utilizing SAP program. Write JSA's, Work Permits,
LO/TO's, and performance of tasks utilizing ISSOW. (A computer based Permit to
Work system) Routinely sponsor and provide assistance to visiting contractors.
Also sponsor Contractors that were assigned to theTLP on a daily basis. Member of
Regulatory & Compliance Committee as well as B-Crew Champion on the Behavior
Based Safety Committee. My experience working at such a fast paced and high
demanding facility as MARS. Combined with my prior oilfield work experience. Has
given me the ability to routinely identify existing and potential hazards. As well as
the techniques utilized in mitigating such hazards.This experience enables me to
make sound and precise decisions when troubleshooting and problem solving.

2001- 2004 & 01/06 - 08/2006 Instrument Technician / Production Operator
( C&D Production Specialist )
Contracted to Shell Offshore as a Process Team A.C.R. on the MARS (TLP) post
Hurricane Katrina repairs and pre start-up commissioning. (Also routine
maintenance, repairs, and testing). Other responsibilities include keeping in
compliance with MMS and Coast Guard regulations. Effectively optimizing safety,
production output, and reducing lifting costs. Held other job assignments while at
C&D. Including contracting to Marathon Oil Company as an Instrument
Repairman. Performing Safety System Inspections, Maintenance and Repairs for
their East Cameron field. Worked in this capacity for several years before. I took on
a new task and became a Production Operator prior to transferring to Marathon's
South Pass 67 field. Task were completing daily production reports, shake outs,
well tests, and overboard water samples. I've contracted to Chevron/ Texaco S.T.
37J working as a Production Operator crew changing out of Leeville,La. I've also
worked on several of Shell's Deepwater TLP assets as an Operator/ I.T Auger,
Brutus, Mars, & Ursa).
2004 - 2006 Instrument Technician, (Production Management Inc.)
Worked with Energy Partners contracting through PMI. Assigned to the S.T.26 Field
as an Instrument Technician. Duties were to keep the field production up by
maintaining, installing,calibrating, and repairing of automated field components.
Worked as Production Operator when demands of the field required.
2003 - 2004: Production Operator, ( Island Operators Inc.)
Worked for Devon Energy through Island Operating at the Main Pass 69 field as a
Production Operator. By incorporating safe and environmentally sound operating
practices. Producing oil & gas in the environmentally sensitive Pass a Loutre
Wildlife Refuge. My Co-Worker and I would alternate piloting Jo-Boat while making
daily rounds in the field . Also performing daily P.M.'s on the boat as well as several
outlying facilities. Other responsibilities were to adjust gas injection rates as
needed on 50 satellite wells. By studying the G/L injection charts to determine if
wells were taking gas.
1999-2001: I/E Technician, (MMR Offshore )
Worked on land as well as offshore. Both Domestic and International in new
construction, maintenance, and upgrading of safety systems and automated
controls. Worked on offshore production facilities, oil refineries, and chemical
plants. Have extensive experience in construction and installation of control panels
(Master, Well Control, Compressor, Chemical Skids) Both electronic and pneumatic
either new or used. Completed several sub-sea expansion projects. Shell's Crosby
(Ursa), Conger (Enchilada), BP and Exxon/Mobil's MICA (Pompano V.K. 989).
Worked overseas in the Democratic Republic of Congo, installing and
commissioning automated control system on water injection turbines.Traveled
extensively throughout the United States contracting to Seimens / Westinghouse
installing and commissioning automated controls.
1996-1997: I/E Technician, Total Engineering Services Team, Inc. (T.E.S.T .)
Responsibilities included construction, testing, and installation of control panels as
per customer S.A.F.E. charts (Master, Compressor, Well Control, Choke Control,
PLC and Pneumatic Controlled) Assigned to Nigeria on a maintenance contract for
Chevron Oil at the Escravos Tank Battery and Liquid Gas Plant
Facility. Requirements were to diagnose and perform preventative maintenance or
upgrades on all of Chevron's land and offshore safety system and production
facilities.
1991-1996
1997-1999: Panel Shop/Field Service Technician, Ruelco,Inc.
Involved in designing, building, testing and installation of control panels (Master,
Well, Compressor, Electronic and Pneumatic) as per customer S.A.F.E. charts.
Answered customer service calls to troubleshoot, upgrade, calibrate, or install
safety system components. Built control panels and assisted in the installation of
safety system on a Mobile Production Facility at Aker Gulf yard in Corpus Christi,
TX. Ultimately following production vessel to Nigeria for location installation,
commissioning, and start up. Other international assignments include installation
and commissioning of 45 SCADA packages for high pressure gas wells in the
mountainous terrain of Chiapas, Mexico contracting to Pemex. Earlier job tasks
involved inventory control, picking up, coordinating, and expediting material
designated to Panel Shop or Field Installations & Service Projects.
