My project is online services for investors of TIAA Cref. The core
functionality of the project was to test operating systems which supported
customer records, credit accounts, billing, debt management, collections,
interface with customers & contact centers and integration with third party
accounting systems.
Responsibilities:
Prepared and executed Test cases manually for different modules.
Responsible for reporting defects to the Quality Center tool
Performed Regression and Sanity testing to verify the functional flow of
the application.
Modified the Test plans and was responsible for creating inputs for the
project.
Used Quality Center to input test cases and to enter defects.
Verified the fixation of bugs, concluded the resolved bugs, reported new
bugs and any which arise using the defect tracking tools of Quality Center.

Ally Financial Inc., previously known as the General Motors Acceptance
Corporation (GMAC), revamped its services in 2010 now acting as a direct
bank which provides preferred financing relationships with its automotive
customers. Since the business expanded to include insurance, direct banking
and commercial finance they thus needed upgrades to their website. My
project involved developing and upgrading the complete banking experience
for Ally Bank. This was the first effort by Alley to have a dedicated
banking application as opposed to various integrated projects like Fiserv,
Fidelity, Ensenta, Cash Edge, etc.
Responsibilities:
Worked closely with Project Manager and Team Lead in understanding existing
system functionalities.
Gathered requirements, scoped requirements and created business requirement
documents, functional requirement specifications, system requirement
specifications, test plans, analyzed and created Use Cases, Use Case
diagrams, System workflow diagrams, Data flow diagrams and Business flow
diagrams.
Attended meetings with BA's, QA leads, and project managers to gather
Business requirements and determine the best strategy to implement based on
user/client use and client requirements.
Wrote test cases, ran test cases in multiple environments using Black Box
Testing, White Box testing, Stress testing, Functional testing, Integration
testing, Backend testing, Regression testing, Load testing and (UAT) User
Acceptance Testing as well as tracking, recording and reporting all status
of passed or failed test results upon completion.
Wrote defects as they were found using Clear Quest and Test Director. Once
defects where recognized and fixed I retested them and if they passed,
closed them.
Where defects persisted I reopened them and tested them again, sometimes
using multiple testing devices and environments until they passed. If the
problem persisted I then reported my findings to my QA Lead as well as the
BA and software development department.
I also attended defect assessment meetings when necessary.
