Description :

The Affordable Care Act (ACT) is the federal government's law

for health care. It is designed to keep health care for individuals

and small businesses within a reasonable cost range. In accordance

with the new laws, Kaiser Permanente designed and acquired the

Exchange Membership Administration and Financial Management (EMAFM)

System. It connects the State Exchanges and the various Kaiser

Membership systems (CM, FS, TMS).

ALL members register through the State Exchanges. The State Exchanges

then feed the data through several other systems, until it winds up in

the Membership Application Gateway (MAG) system. This is an Oracle

system, and the heart of the EMAFM system.

The MAG system is designed to accept Individual members and family

members (INDIVIDUAL). It accepts Small Businesses members (SHOP). The

payments from these members come in from the State Exchanges, in

monthly 820 records.

international shipments by means of Ground, Express, Freight.

Modules I worked on:

IPAS (Internet Passkey): The Shipping Administration feature allows a

company to assign certain individuals who manage and control the

shipping activities of the company's various Users and Departments.

Administrators can configure shipping options or restrict services,

customize company reference information and run shipping reports

IRPT (Internet Reports): Allows a user to generate customized reports

for shipments that were processed in the past 45 days for a company.

Admin Reports: These are accessible by a Passkey user. A passkey

user can generate or save customized reports of the shipments that are

processed by the users from different departments of the company.

FSM reports: A passkey or a Regular user can generate

personalized FSM reports on the fly without actually saving them

SWAB (Site Wide Address Book): This feature allows the user to add,

edit, and update the contacts for all users. Shipping Administrators

have the privileges to Share addresses to other administrators and

also can move the addresses central address book, which are available

to Shipping Administration Users with permission to access the Central

Address Book.

INET (InterNet Shipping): Internet Shipping allows the user to process

Domestic and International shipments by the means of Ground, Express

reduce the manual testing effort on the FedEx products.

Upon registration and installation of the software, all necessary

downloads and uploads take place instantly thereby giving customers

everything they need, including new software, services and shipping

rates.

Modules I worked on:

CAFE (Customer Automation for Future Endeavor): It is a GUI based

application, provides shipment processing originating from Canada, US

and LAC (Latin America-Caribbean) countries to more than 200 countries

worldwide. Services supported are Ground, Express and Freight and

special

services (Ex: Home delivery, Saturday delivery, appointment delivery

etc).This application provides the facility to a user to enter/select

recipient details, Account details, Services, Commodity & Package

details and other user preferences through GUI.

FSMS (FedEx Ship Manager Server): It is a non-GUI based application,

provides shipment processing originating/destination from/to Canada,

US and LAC, APAC and EMEA regions. Services supported are Ground,

Express and Freight and special. This application is deployed to

customers shipping huge shipments every day (Corporate shippers). This

application allows the user to process shipments through transactions

only, all the details regarding the shipments have to provide with the

tag values. Rates and Labels for that shipment are replied through

transactions only. It is very fast and can process tens of shipments

in fraction of seconds.
