WORK EXPERIENCE
2011 to 2014: Intermountain Healthcare / Park City Medical Center
HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Responsible for successfully implementing and integrating HR services and processes to meet the workforce
planning needs of Park City Medical Center. Provide guidance to leadership teams relating to all Human
Resources matters and partner with leadership for employee engagement initiatives to develop and maintain
a highly engaged workforce. Ensure work force planning strategies are developed and implemented to
provide for appropriate facility staffing through recruitment methods and retention initiatives. Provide
leadership training and development opportunities to assist managers in reaching their full potential. Provide
advice regarding legal and regulatory compliance (such as Affirmative Action planning). Act as a liaison
between Central Office Employee Relation's and Legal Departments to ensure compliance. Ensure
adherence to the budget and cost containment efforts. Supervision includes three direct reports including HR
Representative, Employee Health/Infection Control Manager and Volunteer Director. Committees and
leadership activities include Work Place Violence Prevention Chair, Continuous Readiness Joint Commission
committee; Employee Advisory Council; Administration Council, Healing Connections Lead, and Wellness
Committee Chair. Consult with management on employment law, employee relations; corrective action;
internal Investigations, and termination for cause.
2006 to 2010: Progrexion ASG, Inc. North Salt Lake, UT
DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES
When I first started with this organization, my task was to build an HR Department from the ground up.
Managed all aspects of human resource operations for several business entities located in Utah, Idaho, and
Wyoming. Strategically worked with management to identify and respond to their human resource
challenges and business needs. Drafted numerous policies, procedures, and advised management on
employment law and employee relation issues. Other responsibilities included annual reporting for Welfare
benefits, health insurance negotiations/renewals and annual retirement savings audits. Accomplishments
included an online benefit orientation and restructuring of the retirement savings process to reduce fiduciary
responsibility.
2001 to 2006: Westgate Resorts, Park City, UT
REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES
With Westgate Resorts, I started out as their Human Resource Manager and advanced to the
position of Western Regional Director of Human Resources; helping to establish new properties and
acquisitions in the Western Region of the United States. Managed all human resource operations in
the Western Region and supervised six direct reports. I provided leadership and guidance in the
development, implementation and administration of policies and procedures. Other responsibilities
included the administration of management training, welfare benefits, employee relations, Title VII
investigations, open enrollment, terminations, unemployment claims, wage and hour compliance,
and workers’ compensation. Accomplishments included the development of a drug screening
policy and establishing a drug screening vender that serviced all Company properties in the Western
region. I also held voluntary positions as the Safety Committee Chair and Property Ambassador for
the Westgate Foundation Committee.
