Duties: I worked as an LPT. I ran a medication room which included passing medications, administering shots, checking BG levels, vitals, taking verbal/phone orders, charting on the inmates in several different areas. I also from time to time ran groups where the topics varied from: Medication Education, Anger Management, Arts and Music and more.
Reason for leaving: I enjoyed my job however the environment was not suited for me to work and grow.
DMH Atascadero State hospital

Duties: I was not yet licensed I was working as a student. I worked on different unites within the hospital. I completed Mental Health Rounds, Observed as the inmates shaved, went to meal time to assist if needed, Vitals, Charting, group leading, and passing of snacks. My roe here was much less then in CDCR due to the fact I was not yet licensed.
Reason for leaving: After I finished my class I didn’t continue to work here due to the Hiring freeze.

Duties: This is an in home care giving service that I worked for off and on over a few years. I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, I helped the client complete their ADLS which would include, bathing, shaving, dressing and brushing their teeth. I would also help them up weather it be just holding their hand or using the mechanical lifts. Again I would take vitals (if ordered) and I always charted on them.

Duties: I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant here also so my duties are much the same a main difference through is here I worked under and RN or LVN. I showered, shaved, teeth care, dressing and much more. We charted on the clients and tried to spend time with them. I would take care of about 8-10 clients in a day and I enjoyed it.

Shortly after moving back to California the company sold the Woodside Nursing Center to another company.
