I recruit for every clinical and non-clinical opening within Overland Park

Regional Medical Center. The primary goal is to reduce and eventually

eliminate contract labor within the facility. We use targeted recruitment

methods to fill openings and shorten the time to fill throughout the

organization.

I was honored with the award of Recruiter of the year for 2012 based upon

my number of RN placements.

This role is a full cycle recruitment position. I am responsible for

obtaining new job orders and then filling my pipelines with candidates to

fill those opportunities. I am working on a very vast and diverse client

list as well as an extensive list of openings. We use every recruitment

tool available and our primary focus is to call into competing

organizations to find the right individuals for our clients.

Downsized

I handled all HR activities for 14 locations throughout KS and MO which

consisted of over 200 employees. This role involved recruiting,

terminations, downsizing, trainings and strategic planning for not only my

region but for the company as a whole in regards to HR initiatives. I was

able to cut the HR operating budget from over $100K annually to less than

$40K in the last budget year as well as recruit for and fill every opening

within my region without spending a single dollar on advertising or

recruitment.

I handled all HR activities for 8 offices in the Mountain Region which

included 400 employees.

This involved traveling to these locations on a weekly or monthly basis to

roll out new hire orientation, benefit information along with being an HR

presence in these locations. I administered the background investigations,

cleared applicants for hire; made all counseling or performance improvement

plan decisions while the employee was employed along with termination

decisions once the steps in the counseling process had been met. I was the

HR point of contact for all employees and managers.

I handled the HR functions and duties for the North Central Division of

Rotech. This Division consisted of 120 locations and 1,700 employees. My

duties included: Recruiting, Interviewing, Background Investigations,

Compensation, New Hire Packets, FMLA, Worker's Compensation, Employee

Counseling and Coaching along with Terminations and Reductions in Force. I

was one of the main points of contact and handled all HR functions for the

North Central Division along with the Divisional HR Manager.

April 2004 to March 2005

Left to take full-time opportunity with Rotech Healthcare

I reported to the Director of Human Resources and Retention at Gentiva and

supported the department of 35 recruiters. I handled direct mailings,

reports, travel reservations, pay invoices, new hire paperwork and help new

recruiters once they come on board. I worked with our printing company and

advertising company to streamline the printing process of our direct

mailings. I posted all open positions and look for qualified candidates by

resume mining on various job boards. I helped with reference checks and

other HR related duties as requested.

Account Manager

January 2002 to February 2004

I handled one of the largest cities in the Entertainment family, St. Louis.

I was the sole account manager for the merchants who are in the book or the

schools and community groups who sold the Entertainment book. I also have

extensive project management experience along with holding the lead on most

of those projects. I have also been the point person in our Kansas City

office to test new systems or applications and report back to our home

office the productivity and ability to implement at the hub level, taking

into consideration all the necessary steps to install and train employees.

I handled all executive assistant responsibilities for the director,

managers and group of 32 product managers. Began training on department

specific databases and software and helped out when needed.

Took over the supply ordering process and was able to streamline our orders

and saved the department over $100 a month. I coordinated travel and

schedules for all members of the group. Have stepped in wherever needed or

asked to handle the task or project at hand.

After six months I took over the roles and responsibilities of the branch

manager. I began the start up of our HR department in the Kansas City

branch. I handled all of the HR functions including testing of new

applicants, interviews, new employee orientation, benefit administration,

and payroll, along with the final

paper work when an employee was terminated or resigned. I was the sole

recruiter for our department of 100 people. Helped manage our clerical

staff of 20 people by helping them coordinate their work schedules, meet

deadlines and keep the workflow moving. I did extensive research into the

staffing industry to find the perfect firm to outsource our temporary

staff.
