Academic Project summary:

1. PROJECT: Design of Dual Elevator Controller

Scope: This project explores the design of the dual elevator controller

based on the finite state machines (FSM).

Benefits: The FSM implementation for the dual elevator controller greatly

reduces the time taken for the controller to move from one state to

another thereby satisfying one of the basic criteria for the VLSI design

objective.

Tools & languages: Model Sim, Xilinx ISE, Verilog.

2. PROJECT: Design of versatile multimedia functional unit (VMFU) based on

spurious power suppression technique (SPST)

Scope: This project presents the design exploration and applications of a

versatile multimedia functional unit based on the spurious-power

suppression technique (SPST) which can dramatically reduce the power

dissipation of combinational VLSI designs for multimedia/DSP purposes.

Benefits: Reduction of power supplied to the circuit which in turn

leads to reduction in the cost of the design .Because the COST of Design is

a one time cost. True savings come from cost of manufacturing, cost of

regular usage, and Cost of maintenance.
