August 2013 - Present: TE Connectivity (Aerotek), Greensboro, NC.

Mechanical Engineer: I am the lead mechanical engineer with the new product

development team for the Broadband Network Solutions business unit. I work

with the copper and fiber data solutions which in includes category 3,

category 6, and category 6a shielded and unshielded RJ45 plugs, and jacks,

along with network solution accessories. I use Creo to optimize designs for

manufacturing, cost, and electrical conductivity. Myself along with the

cross functional team develops the product spec, and testing plan which is

my responsibility to execute.

August 2011-Auguest 2013: John Deere (ENTEGEE), Kernersville, NC

Mechanical Engineer: I worked as a mechanical engineer helping out the

excavator team for John Deere at the John Deere-Hitachi facility where the

130G through 350G excavators are built. My main responsibilities were to

help with the design of Deere design control components such as the

components that go into the cooling packaging, aftertreatment, top model

assemblies, including tubes, formed hoses, brackets, and coupled hoses.

This responsibility included the CAD design, drawing creation with GD&T,

BOM creation, BOM maintenance, and controlling the release of ECOs into

PDMLink/SAP. Most of my time was spent working with the new product team,

but would also help with kit creation for the continuous improvement team

when needed.

April 2010 - January 2011: Eaton (Insight Global) Raleigh, NC

Mechanical Engineer: I was the mechanical engineering lead on projects that

dealt with industrial electrical OEM products such as UPS, and PDU

products. My responsibilities included creating the mechanical design

specifications, and mechanical testing specifications that met the needs of

the project, giving guidance and information to the design team, and to

report the results to the project manager. Also as the mechanical lead I

reviewed drawings, performed design reviews, reviewed test reports, setup

project schedules, and answered any questions from the OEM customer or

design team. I have also been involved in new product creation dealing with

3 phase electrical PDU systems. For that project I had been part of the

team that managed drawing creation, drawing updates, wiring harnesses, and

label creation.

April 2007 - January 2009: Schneider Electric, Knightdale NC

Senior Mechanical Engineer: I worked as a project team lead on the Class

One projects team which required both engineering, and cross functional

management responsibilities. Class One projects were any projects that

dealt with a 9 month or shorter design cycle, and under a $100,000 project

budget. As a project lead my responsibilities included managing the cross

functional team and technical aspect of the project. The technical side

included making the design changes, or creating the new design to meet the

customer's need, verify the design changes, meet any 3rd party standards

such as UL, NEMA, or IEC, approving drawings and tolerances for all

component parts, verifying any technical publication changes, and verify

that a pilot run was completed.

August 2004 - April 2007: Caterpillar (Volt), Sanford NC

Senior Associate Design Engineer: I was a mechanical engineer that worked

on the SSL/MTL platform team. The platform team was responsible for routing

the various hydraulic lines in the machine. The lines that I were

personally responsible for included the hydraulic lines that drive the

machine, hydraulic brake lines, and part of the hydraulic lines in the

implement circuit. The hydraulic routings included flexible formed hoses,

tube assemblies, and coupled hose assemblies. Also as the design engineer

my responsibilities included completing the designs for any other

components such as sheet metal brackets, plastic parts, or special

couplings. I received a Six Sigma DMADV green belt which deals with new

product design.

March 2002 - August 2004: Integrated Industrial Information Inc, Raleigh,

NC

Software Test Engineer: I worked as quality assurance engineer for PDM

software that works with Windchill. The different software packages I have

been responsible for testing include, Workgroup Manager, PDMLink, Project

Link, Legend, and Gateway. My responsibilities included finding any bugs in

the software and reporting them back to the developers, creating and

maintain test plans, and adding enhancement requests. As test lead for the

Gateway and Legend projects, I created and maintained specialized test

plans, and executed the tests to meet the milestones of the project

schdedule.
