Personal Profile:

I have recently finished my contract with EA Games / Chillingo and Samsung as a Graphic Designer and I’m looking to continue my career within UI, UX and graphic design. As a creative I thoroughly enjoy working in an inspired and artistic environment. I love to work with exciting visuals, digital media and web design as they are forever changing, creating fresh challenges. I enjoy working with other like-minded people; bouncing around themes and ideas with clients and colleagues, then developing them into finished products. I am hard working, I can take direction and I am very passionate about what I do.

Key skills:

I have a broad skill set, ranging from traditional Art and Design as well as being very familiar with the Adobe Creative Suite. As this is my main working tool and has been for the last 5 years. HTML and CSS is another area I’m proficient at, mainly for email campaigns, but I can also build static sites from scratch and I have a particular interest in UI and UX. I’m used to working in a creative industry; working to deadlines is the norm. I also enjoy working as part of a team. Set briefs are something I’m also used to.

Full Driving License.

Work Experience:

EA Games / Chillingo / Samsung: 100% Indie 2013 January – 2014 March http://www.chillingo.com/

During my stay with 100% Indie my primary port of call was looking after all the visual elements of the initiative. This included all the graphics on the website, liaising with the PR manger, Site Editor and Developers. I would approve and amend artwork to be then submitted to Samsung. I was also in charge of the email marketing campaigns, visual aspects of social media, e-magazines, video editing and a little animation and motion graphics. I would also have to design material for events like GDC and E3, this would consist of print based work. This included banners, billboards, scratch cards, promo leaflets, T-shirts and USB sticks. On occasion I would talk directly with Samsung to create promotional banners for their website. I had full control of our Hubspot account allowing me to keep tabs on our marketing performance. This was essential for checking the stats on the email campaigns. Finally I also worked on the Chillingo site, designing banners and site skins. I found that my role evolved whilst I was there and I really enjoyed adapting to the challenges set.

100% Indie was set up by EA Games and Samsung to encourage independent game developers to sign up to Samsung

Apps. This was done by offering a 100% revenue share in terms of game sales, comparing it to the industry standard of

70 – 30 that you would get on Google Play or the App Store Netsearch Media: 2011 April – 2012 January

My role at Netsearch Media was far more intense than my previous job, as I was looking after 100’s of sites. I would be working on multiple projects daily so time management was essential to me. Interacting with the customer service team was a day to day job as well as keeping up with all the administration. This was extremely helpful in boosting my organization skills. Skill sets used Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, HTML, CSS, Jquery, and some PHP. I also started to look at Wordpress CMS and Ecommerce solutions. Please refer to websites below for some examples of my work. http://netsearchsites.co.uk/ralphs_restaurant/main.html http://www.stratfordcarbodies.co.uk/

Katatomic Web Design: 2009 January – 2011 April http://www.cheshirewebdesigners.com/

Whilst being employed at Katatomic I was an Illustrator and Junior Front End designer. I would directly communicate with clients regularly meeting their design briefs and specifications. I worked with various companies implementing and developing brand identity. Mascot design was one of my key responsibilities as well as the design and embedding of location maps for the Subway UK Ltd regional website, this was on-going. I produced impressive results; whatever the original brief.

Marketreach Soloutions: 2007 June - 2009 December

Marketreach Solutions was a B2B telemarketing company. My role profile involved arranging appointments for the sales personnel to attend by informing and selling the company over the phone. Key skills for this job include adaptability, personable skills and determination.
