Responsible for development, stakeholder outreach, regulatory shaping, land acquisition, financial analysis and
commercial negotiations for utility sized transmission projects in the New York and New England regions for a rapidly
growing team focused on developing regulated and contracted transmission investments in North America.
Led real estate negotiations and site assessment activities in New York identifying transmission opportunities to
support the Governor’s Energy Highway initiative
Led meetings and outreach with dozens of communities in New York to inform and communicate the proposed high
voltage transmission infrastructure
Originated and secured, through a joint development agreement, agreement to develop a large gas and electric
transmission corridor in New England to be able to expand renewable energy development
Led due diligence of 700 land leases, licenses, and other land agreements with legal team before securing land rights

Originated and negotiated complex long term transactions, power purchase agreements (PPA), for wind projects in
PJM and the Alberta totaling 182 MW of capacity for 10 to 20 year terms with annual revenues in the tens of millions
Negotiated 345 kV and 500 kV generation interconnection agreements and led permitting efforts for construction
Led land negotiations and permitting activities to site 45 wind turbine generators and substations for a wind farm
Acquired wind project developments in Ontario that were ultimately awarded feed-in-tariff contracts from the
Province and gained management approval for construction for +$100 million investments
Originated and negotiated options for development rights for wind projects in the Atlantic Provinces in Canada and
worked with government agencies to lease land for exploration
Project Manager Renewables Development NextEra Energy Resources, LLC August 2007 - March 2010
Responsible for all aspects of strategy and development for wind energy projects in the Southwest Power Pool (SPP)
Region including regional project strategy, commercial negotiations, site prospecting and selection, permitting and
environmental studies, and financial analysis. Managed annual development budget of $3 million for 1,000 MW of
projects with over 50,000 acres of land for development activities.
Negotiated a 20-year PPA for 99 MW with favorable terms and conditions that was ultimately project financed
Gained management approval and the necessary capital investment of nearly $200 million for a 99 MW wind facility
Acquired development rights and interconnection agreement of a 100 MW wind facility constructed in the same year
Led and finalized real estate negotiations for two projects totaling 105 wind turbine sites with a 40 acre 345 kV
interconnection site that were both ultimately constructed
Lead and managed team to assemble winning bid for a large utility’s renewable energy request for proposals
Led negotiations for 87 crossing agreements with 18 different pipeline, utility, county, and state entities
