Personal statement:

I am a third year BSc Sport and Exercise Science student. Having studied

Accountancy and Mathematics at A-level, I have a strong focus on pursuing a

career in both sectors. I chose the University of Birmingham as a place of

study as it is one of the top university for Sport and Exercise Science.

With my strong drive and determination combined with my skills, experience

and ability to learn fast, I feel I have what it takes to succeed and

realise my career ambitions. In future, I'd be looking at aim higher strive

to have a senior role position, whether in the financial sector or a

physiologist.

Work Experience:

11/2013 - 02/2014 Analysts - Alverchurch F.C

The duties I conducted were collect data while the first team were playing

matches analyse the data for the first team manager, opposition team

analysis and conduct video analysis when required.

08/2013 - 09/2013 Waiter - La Masala

The duties and responsibilities that I had to carry out were to liaise with

the manager and chefs to review the specials of the day, greeting the

customers and attending to most of customer's needs, take customers and

telephone orders and preparing the bill. Skills such as organisation and

communications were further enhanced while carrying out my duties.

06/2012- 09/2012 Operator - New Century Cars

Working in close conjunction with manager to develop marketing strategies

and advanced booking system for customers using the CORDIC system which has

developed my IT skills. I also took part in negotiating fare price with

customers and so further enhanced my communications skills, taking into the

account the distance and mileage and helping out with other operators

during busy times.

11/2010 - 09/2011 Customer Service - Argos (Harrow 266)

Took part in stock delivery item put-away, enhanced usage of delivery put-a-

way devise, helping in the main shop floor, to do this I required to have

good memory, effective listener and taking into account the customers

enquires at busy hours. My role in the stock room was to locate the

required items. I have started working as a temporary Christmas role, but

due to my effort and determination, my contract have been extended for the

year.

09/2009 - 06/2010 Part-time Teacher - Paiwand School

On the weekends, I taught mathematics to 20-25 students. The roles I

carried out were working in close range with other teachers to provide

strategies in effective management of pupils and the classroom, providing

general support and one-to-one assistance for pupils due to learning

difficulties and language barrier. Throughout the year I got promoted as

Head of Mathematics leading me to assist with the preparation of a

comfortable learning environment, discussing student's progress with

parents, as well as producing accurate and up-to-date records and reports

as required.

09/2006 - 06/2007 Coach - "Move It Program"

Working in close conjunction with my Physical Education teachers and

learning how to deliver my own session in different sports such football,

basketball and tennis to year 7, 9 and 10 students, 25 students per

session. It also assisted in developing tactics and strategies in

increasing the number of students taking part in sessions via constructing

and promoting programs such as 'jogo benito'.

Languages: Fluent Farsi and English

Interests:

One of my biggest passions is football and I have played at a competitive

level for Derby County between 2005 and 2006. My other interests include

travelling, socialising to meet new people and going to the gym regularly.

Recently I have been selected to be the captain of a football team,

coordinated by students in universities across the west midlands and

competing against each other and having lost in the final last year, I am

more determined to win the tournament this year providing regular training

sessions to the team with strategies on how to attack and defend.
