I have been a minister for the Church of Christ for over 30 years. My
ministry has included work with young people. I spent a year working with
youth as a Behavioral Rehab Specialist in the Community At-Risk Services
(CARS program) with Marie Detty Youth and Family Services in Lawton,
Oklahoma, under contract with the Office of Juvenile Affairs. I have also
done work with at-risk youth and their families in a licensed A-B
residential child care center near Claremore.
. I possess excellent oral and written communication skills. I produced
a well-received one minute daily radio message on a small town Texas
radio station. I have had articles published by Church and Family
Magazine, and The Daily Oklahoman.
. I am an LPC. I have taken classes on substance abuse counseling. I did
my internship in Southwestern Medical Center's Adolescent Behavioral
Health Unit.
. I have a wide range of work experience, which includes factory work,
maintenance and transportation. I have also served as a classroom
teacher.
