DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES AS INSPECTION & QA//QC ENGINEER
> Review of inspection and Test plan (QAP) per QC-Procedure,Client
Specification and Approved Drawing.
> Review of the project scope of work, material specifications, and
drawings for any conflict with the requirement of the Quality
standards and advise the Engineering Dept to initiate the corrective
actions with the client prior to commencement of work.
> Preparation of WPS & PQR.
> Interpretation of Isometric drawings and Weld maps.
> Witness of welding procedure qualification, welder performance
qualification & approval.
> Witness mechanical test on materials like Bend test, Hardness test,
Tensile test, Charpy impact test etc.
> Inspection of joints fit up, alignment and dimensional accuracy as per
drawing requirements.
> Offering of NDT Test involves to Inspection Agency & Approve..
> Review of NDT Test Report with TPI or Client.
> Defect mapping & attain the repair work.
> Quality control documentation as per Quality inspection Procedure.
> To ensure related activities are carried out in accordance with
project specification
> Preparation of welding inspection summary
> Inspection of joints fit up, alignment and dimensional accuracy as
per drawing requirements
> Witness of Hydro testing, PWHT & Pre heat, post heat requirements

WELDING
> Responsible for checking the use & storage of all welding consumables
& equipment's.
> Handle the tasks of controlling & maintaining of quality welding
standards.
> Handle the tasks of responding to technical queries & perform
investigation of field welding related problems.
> Ensure that the welding, heat treatment, hardness testing, inspection
& non-destructive testing are in compliance with the relevant codes &
specifications.
> Responsible for maintaining safe working environment for al personnel
working on the job site.
> Coordinate with engineering & construction staff as well as liaise
with clients on welding requirements.
> Training welders & supervisors about basic concepts.
> Following good engineering practices.
> Handling the tasks of investigating, developing & implementing welding
processes &procedures including procurement, specification & trouble
shooting of welding equipments & fixtures.
> Evaluate new development in welding field for potential applications
to current welding problems.
> Project wise planning of welding consumables.
