RELATED EXPERIENCE
Senior Project: Designed and built a guitar amplifier, half solid state, half tube
design and provided 10 Watts of output power.
Designed a 1kw “Off the grid” wind and solar system, using a combination of
custom wind turbines and solar panels to charge a battery bank. This system also
includes a software interface that allowes the user to remotely monitor the battery
charge levels through an internet browser
Licensed Electrician’s Helper
Member of UMaine IEEE
Designed, built and tested 18.13 MHz HAM radio
Designed, manufactured, and tested device for a client to monitor float switch
states. The device allows switch states to be monitored via a remote radio link.
The system wirelessly transmits the condition of the switches to a base station
800+ meters away.
Designed, tested, and manufactured a 1kW solar charge control unit for commercial
sale. Product consisted of a custom designed PCB mounted in a waterproof
enclosure. The unit is easy to install and completely autonomous.
