template for an annual $53M expense. Drafted contract templates to enable corporate negotiations
with key vendors instead of individual store agreements with local vendors. Wrote provisions to
protect confidential information, recover litigation expenses, establish governing law, limit liability,
and enforce non-solicitation clauses. Recommended an online system to reduce temporary staffing
overhead.
* Won a $500K+ bid from the city of Boca Raton by crafting a well-prepared response to an RFP.
INDUS INTERNATIONAL (acquired by Ventyx, Inc.), Atlanta, Georgia * 2002-2004
Staff Attorney, Contracts: Drafted and negotiated software licenses and contracts for software use,
support, outsourcing, hosting, professional services, assignments, partnerships, re-sellers, non-
disclosures, and settlements. Educated the Sales Department about basic contract terms and
conditions for use in working with clients.
* Captured $800K in net new license fees by reaching an agreement with Sunoco within three months
instead of the usual 12 months through relationship-building with the VP of Information Technology.
* Generated $400K in net new software license revenue and $100K in support fees by negotiating a
breach of contract dispute.
* Recouped $800K in outstanding fees within one quarter by working with the Sales and Accounts
Receivable departments to write and negotiate effective demand letters.
