I currently work for Canada’s largest 1st nations’ Tribal Government. I work on projects as assigned. I wrote a new procurement

policy and procedures for the government/community emphasizing value, quality and functionality rather than just price. I

investigated an e-procurement solution for all government departments, negotiated a workable acquisition/install cost and

initiated installation. I have completed numerous major projects, including the evaluation, purchase of and installation of a major

VOIP telephone system for all government administration offices. I renegotiated a new cellular phone contract for the

government; I negotiated an electricity procurement contract c/w a price freeze, for the entire community. I initiated a major

renovation and an upgrade to the equipment and the building at their 45,000 square foot Bingo Hall. I acted as GM of their Bingo

operation for 9 months. I negotiated and bought a new Fire Truck and updated major equipment for the Reservation Fire

Department. I negotiated a major insurance settlement ($480,000.00) on a burned out building and oversaw the design,

engineering and reconstruction of a new Convention Center/Meeting Place on the existing site. I revamped the menu in their Food

Concession areas, held tastings of numerous new products and renegotiated and revamped their culinary supply chain. I

renegotiated the tribes major goods and services supply contracts and implemented community cost controls.

Worked on a team with an American Indian Tribal Government, to develop, design and open a “state of the art” (400

Million Dollar) Las Vegas style gaming resort in North Eastern Oklahoma with 2500 employees.

Owners’ rep on Architectural Design and Specification team, kitchen and bar design team and value engineered Project

Design.

Managed Budget for project. Negotiated all property purchases, subcontractor and trade agreements for construction

and leases. Worked hand in hand with general contractor. Oversaw building/outfitting of model suite.

Negotiated purchase of all owner provided components of construction.

Oversaw the design/procurement of all FF&E, OS&E and capital equipment for casino/ hotel, 2 golf courses and 5

restaurants.

Worked with the Executive chef to design menus and specify food and beverage products and to locate local vendor

Hired as Director of Purchasing for 1 year old, 900 million dollar mega resort in South Florida with more than 6000

staff members.

Developed Global, approved vendor base, of over 550 companies. Re-sourced most major volume items.

Wrote and implemented Purchasing/Logistics/Inventory Policy and Procedures for 2 properties in Hollywood and

assisted in development of policies for Hard Rock corporate.

Removed and re-installed MMS (Stratton Warren) ERP/E-procurement materials management system (16,600 SKU’s)

Re-designed, properly layed out and re-setup all warehouses and stockrooms (25,000 sq ft working, 30,000sq ft

When I arrived, MRP/ERP systems were operating at 30% efficiency, installed electronic approvals and automated

stock controls along with auto Purchase releases and auto bidding. Cleaned up dead stock and re-layed out warehouses

to optimize effectiveness. Achieved increase to 85% efficiency within 90 days.

Negotiated major Food and Beverage cost /plus principal provider agreements for Seminole Gaming and Hard Rock

Corporate. Reduced markup on 20 million in purchases from 12%-4%. Negotiated deviations on 90% of products

bought.

Negotiated $30.00/ton waste disposal cost reduction with Broward County for all 7 Seminole properties representing a

3 million cost reduction per annum.

Negotiated central buy of electricity for all Seminole properties. Reduced yearly energy costs by 6%

Cut overall procurement cost by 3%.

On opening management team of New Concept native owned Resort with 4800 employees in “The Honeymoon

Capital of the World”.

Opened property in 100 days on budget. (including construction)

Hired/trained all staff and setup Purchasing Department (62 Staff members).

Bought all FF&E, OS&E, construction and capital items for casino/ resort/hotel and 8 restaurants.
