I currently work for Canada’s largest 1st nations’ Tribal Government. I work on projects as assigned. I wrote a new procurement
policy and procedures for the government/community emphasizing value, quality and functionality rather than just price. I
investigated an e-procurement solution for all government departments, negotiated a workable acquisition/install cost and
initiated installation. I have completed numerous major projects, including the evaluation, purchase of and installation of a major
VOIP telephone system for all government administration offices. I renegotiated a new cellular phone contract for the
government; I negotiated an electricity procurement contract c/w a price freeze, for the entire community. I initiated a major
renovation and an upgrade to the equipment and the building at their 45,000 square foot Bingo Hall. I acted as GM of their Bingo
operation for 9 months. I negotiated and bought a new Fire Truck and updated major equipment for the Reservation Fire
Department. I negotiated a major insurance settlement ($480,000.00) on a burned out building and oversaw the design,
engineering and reconstruction of a new Convention Center/Meeting Place on the existing site. I revamped the menu in their Food
Concession areas, held tastings of numerous new products and renegotiated and revamped their culinary supply chain. I
renegotiated the tribes major goods and services supply contracts and implemented community cost controls.
