Challenger School Application Essay
Our country was built upon the principles of freedom and the opportunity for success. These ideals
have carried our nation throughout the course of history in many ways. Our educational system has taken
the challenge of this ideal and created a system of learning where all individuals have the opportunity to
receive a great education while becoming productive citizens. I believe that our students are the greatest
asset we have in keeping those principles alive within each of us. Our nation is strong, encouraging
individuals to go beyond their initial boundaries and expanding boarders to create a unified country.
We have within our country the ability to help shape the future. Using the ideals of life, liberty, and
the pursuit of happiness, how we instill these key ideals in our students depends on us. Our nation has the
resources to help our students achieve their dreams. If we take advantage of the freedoms we have in this
country, we will always be one step ahead of the world and not behind. It is up to us how we walk and rise
above all obstacles, achieving our dreams and continuing to make this nation great.
As an educator, our responsibility becomes even more important because we have the power to
influence others through our words and actions, just as in historical days, being agents of change and

creating a pathway for our students to follow. We need to always believe in those original ideals of freedom
to keep pushing forward and building up our nation with continued growth and progression. If we can
accomplish this, our nation will continue to fortify our place in the world and making our nation strong.
