Greetings! My name is Crystal Kennedy. I am a Registered Practical Nurse and
a resident of Barrie. I am presently employed casually with Saint Elizabeth
Health Care, worked as a floor nurse on a medical cardiac unit for the Royal
Victoria Hospital for five years previous, and currently hold a part time position
on the new Respiratory unit at Royal Victoria Regional Health Center. Your ad
for a Rehabilitation assistant, placed in the Canada Job Bank on January 5,
2013, immediately caught my attention and I would like to present myself
available for this position.
My experience at the Royal Victoria Hospital has equipped me to handle a
variety of acute medical situations and collaborate as a team with other medical
professionals regarding whole patient care. Saint Elizabeth Health Care has
provided me with a unique opportunity to work within a client centered care
setting, specifically to medically fragile adults and children within the home and
school setting. I sincerely enjoy caring for the geriatric population and have
experience working and dealing with a range of patients suffering from
dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and delirium.
I thoroughly enjoy being a part of a health care team to promote health and
wellness to patients and their families. During my seven years as a nurse, I
have acquired an array of skills and knowledge base experience derived from a
variety of health care settings. I believe I would be a valuable asset to you and I
look forward to the opportunity of learning about and caring for those with
hearing and visual challenges. It is always humbling, rewarding and fulfilling to
have the privilege to help those without the abilities; we so often take for
granted.
Thank you very much for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from
you.
Sincerely,
Crystal Kennedy RPN
