Employment History
December 2012 April 2013
Job Title/Employer: Nanny/Carolyn Webb
Reason for Leaving: This was a part time job and the woman already had a full time nanny that had been with her for over two years. After her
husband died of cancer, she couldn’t afford to pay anyone else, so she regretfully let me go. This actually was alright with me because I was 8
months pregnant at that time.
July 2012 November 2012
Job Title/Employer: Nanny/Poornima Jayarimayah
Reason for Leaving: This family preferred a live in nanny which I knew on my date of hire and also before, and I was let go as soon as they
found one.
Job Description: My responsibilities included getting this family’s two sons home from their elementary school and the older child’s bus stop with
their homework done and dinner done by the time their mother returned home from work. There were times when I was asked to bring the
children to their mother at her place of employment and to have them ready for their tennis and/or swimming lessons.
November 2009 May 2012
Job Title/Employer: Nanny/Stacy Loseke
Employment Agency: Nannies Incorporated
Reason for Leaving: This family was relocated back to their hometown in Arkansas, due to the husband’s work. They were a wonderful family
and we were all very sad to leave each other.
Job Description: I did my best to create a nurturing and safe environment for the children, supervised their activities at all times, planned and
prepared meals and bottles for, and fed the children, dressed them, placed them down for naps, bathed them, changed diapers, performed
housework related to child care, including washing their clothes, cleaning up after meals, tidying up play areas and also washed bottles. I also
played with them, both indoors and outdoors, and planned and lead educational activities, including reading.
September 2009 July 2011
Job Title/Employer: Photographer/JCPenney’s Portrait Studio
Supervisor: Theresa
Reason for Leaving: Started school full time at Lincoln Land Community College and already had another job as well. I gave this business one
month and a half notice before leaving and was even invited to reapply and come back in the future.
Job Description: My job was to determine desired images and picture composition, and also adjust subjects, equipment, and lighting to achieve
desired effects. I also enhanced, retouched, and resized photographs. In addition, I was put in charge of opening and closing the studio by myself
on a regular basis. This included closing out the cash register, putting the camera away, putting away any objects used during the photo sessions,
and delivering the money to the main office inside the store. I was offered Assistant Manager position just before leaving. The biggest part of this
job was mainly customer service, as it was my number one duty to make the customer happy in any way possible.
March 2009 August 2009
Job Title/Employer: Photographer/Sears Portrait Studio
Supervisor: April
Reason for Leaving: Wasn’t being offered enough hours and the manager was extremely unprofessional.
Job Description: Determined desired images and picture composition; and select and adjust subjects, equipment, and lighting to achieve
desired effects. I also enhanced, retouched, and resized photographs using image editing software.
Volunteer Work
Illinois Army National Guard
Description: Volunteered on orders for the guard numerous times, including overnight stays out of town. I was in charge of setting up activities at
events for the children of military men and women.
Hours Accumulated: 200+
Although this may not be exactly appropriate to put on a resume, I would just like to say that I have extremely reliable childcare for my two children. My father and
also younger sister take turns watching my children in my home, every day and time that their father and I have to work. We are very close with them and they are
not on time, but EARLY every single time I have ever needed them in the last five years. I also have several backup childcare options but have never ever needed
them. And last but not least, I am a very punctual and responsible person and will always show up to work on time, with no call ins. Thank you for your time!
