Performed research, development, and unit testing for Dell’s software tools for managing
RAID storage environments that are independent of the underlying hardware RAID
controller. Operating systems supported included Windows, Netware, and Linux using C
and C++. Worked closely with partner vendors in the development of their software and
problem resolution. Wrote and maintained the SNMP extension agent for all devices
managed by the RAID storage solution software. Source control managed through
SourceSafe and ClearCase. Defects tracked through TeamTrack. Maintained software
design documentation, process documentation and end-user documentation.
Software/Firmware Engineer
IBM contracting through Act One, Inc., Austin, TX 8/00 to 10/00
Performed maintenance, enhancement and defect correction on firmware for
IBM/AIX servers using C and Forth programming languages. Version control was
maintained through CMVC. Collaborated with development and testing engineers to
ensure quality and correctness of work.
Software Engineer
Southeastern Computer Consultants, Inc., Austin, TX 02/00 to 8/00
Support the Navy’s Advanced Tomahawk Weapons Control System in the
development of the Interactive Support System, the Graphical User Interface Help
system. Perform maintenance and enhancement on code written in C++, Java,
JavaScript and html interacting with the Netscape browser in an HP/UNIX environment.
Participate in the development process from design and coding through testing. Testing
includes developing and executing unit, integration, regression, and capability test plans.
Development includes pier design, code, and test inspections to ensure quality software.
Other software utilized includes Interleaf documentation tool, Exceed, CodeWarrior IDE,
JDK, CVS version control software, and Perl.

9000 running HPUX, for a client/server clinical information system. Maintain
existing legacy system written in FORTRAN. Areas of programming include indexing,

interface with faxing software; conversion of database to new file structure.
