Profile
I am a young ambitious woman who enjoys working hard and being independent. I am confident and
well-spoken which are two qualities that I found have helped me in both the workplace as well as my
education. I am reliable and very hardworking which is shown through my commitment to my job and my
role there as a Manager, and also my University commitments. I have always worked very efficiently around
University and have no trouble with time management or workload, in fact I very much enjoy keeping busy
and being able to earn money to support myself and help my family.
Work History
May 2008-Present:
Shift Manager
McDonalds
Bedford
I have worked for McDonalds for over five and a half years now. I started as a Crew Member
and worked my way up to a Crew Trainer after a year and a half and then to a Shift Manager
which I have been now for three and a half years. I am First Aid at Work qualified; and this
does not expire until September 2016. On becoming a Manager I completed the Management
Course which gave me a City & Guild’s A level in Shift Management.
My job role involves me working with both employees and customers on a daily basis and
representing the company at all times. I am very proud of my achievements and certificate for
excellent Customer Service. Hospitality and Customer Care are extremely important job
aspects to me personally as I am quite passionate about working one to one with
customers, and feel I excel most in this area. I am in charge of the training within my store which
is quite a big responsibility as we offer our employees an Apprenticeship program worth five
GCSE's in Catering and Hospitality. Other responsibilities I have within the store involve the
cash management, complaint handling, Health and Safety regulations and general
managerial duties within McDonalds such as running shifts. After six years working for the
company I now wish to widen my experience within the work industry, and feel a
change in career would benefit me greatly.
