Worked for HSBC, from May 2008 to March 2010 with their French Process

Job Responsibilities:
At HSBC, I was with the Account Opening Process for French bank accounts.
Here we were required to open accounts for companies registered in France
that were highly confidential and sensitive. While translation work was limited,
the documents we received were in French which had to be understood and
correlated. All queries had to be addressed in French.
With Digital Nirvana, the work was completely related to
translation. Business and financial reports from the media had to be analysed and
coded according to certain parameters. The French articles which were
related to the IT, aviation and hotel industries, had to be then condensed into a
small summary, in English.
Work Experience at Tech Mahindra:
Worked for the Petroleum Giant, Chevron, as a Service Desk Analyst (French
Resource).
Responsibility included Outage Communication, Incident Management and
Translation assistance for Incident Management in French and English. Have also
done translation of technical information related to the oil exploration field.
Other Project (KPO): (Dec ’11 to Sept ’12)
The work involved studying the French and English comments of an international
consumer products giant that appeared in the social networking sites. The work
involved gathering of market intelligence from various social media sources and
the information collected was used for sentiment analysis. The work involved
researching, translating, polarity tagging, categorizing and summarizing content
from French to English. Critical issues had to be spotted and escalated as per the
escalation procedure.
My present translation work has been related to mainly legal and some
engineering/technical documents.
Skill Set:
Can efficiently translate from French to English
Keyboard skills of around 60 w.p.m. with an accuracy of 90%.
Worked as a sub-editor with “Campus Josh” a college magazine.
Have done freelancing work for content writing on various topics – with a little
SEO experience as well.
Can prepare presentations and have a fair knowledge of working on excel sheets.
