MINOR PROJECT
TOPIC: Extraction of silk from silk fibroin and application of
Nanotechnology
Objective and scope:
This project deals with the useful application emerging Nanotechnology in
the field of biomedical. Smaller the object better it is to handle it. We
here are extracting silk fibroins from various silk cocoons like b.mori and
ery using various techniques and making nano-particles of the aqueous silk
obtained in the process of extraction and are thereby making its use
possible in the biomedical field. Silk it is of great use in making several
things.
MAJOR PROJECT
TOPIC- Wireless heartbeat monitoring system.
Objective and scope:
A wireless heart beat monitoring system comprises a detection unit and a
display unit, the two units being separate and co-operatively in
communication through a wireless link. The detection unit comprises a
casing, straps for attaching the casing on a user, a heartbeat sensor and a
detector at the casing for detecting ECG pulses of the user, a
microcontroller for computing a heartbeat based on the ECG waves detected
by the heart beat sensor, and a transmitter for transmitting a wireless
signal indicative of the computed heart beat to the display unit. The
display unit comprises a casing, a receiver for receiving the wireless
signal from the detection unit, and a display for displaying the heart beat
received by the receiver unit.
