JOB DETAILS:
• Rotary & Static equipments: Commissioning and Running Maintenance
• Centrifugal Compressors: Complete overhauling during annual turn around. That includes
replacement of seals, bearings, labyrinths, rotor replacement after dynamic balancing and
maintaining clearances as per data provided by the OEM.
• Reciprocating Compressors: Inspection, Maintenance and replacement of parts i.e. pistons,
cylinder liners, rider rings, compression rings, piston rods, gas seals, cross heads, crank case,
valves and un-loaders. And checking / adjusting different clearances.
• Centrifugal Pumps: Replacement of mechanical seals, rotor, wear rings, bearings, shaft
alignment and complete overhauling.
• Reciprocating Pumps: Replacement of plungers, plunger packing and valves. Inspection and
maintenance of crank case & cross head.
• Steam Turbines: Replacement and inspection of rotor, bearings, carbon packing, governor and
chest valve. Testing and adjusting of over speed trip device.
• Diesel Engines: Worked on different engines used for power generation. Carried out routine
maintenance.
• Alignment: I am well versed with different methods of coupling alignments such as Rim and
Face & Reverse indicator.
• Heat Exchangers: Pulling out tube bundles, checking tube leak by hydro and pneumatic test,
re-tubing and tube plugging Performed maintenance of Plate type exchangers also.
Having sufficient exposure in maintenance and trouble shooting of injection well related like
launcher Pig Receiver, wellhead hookup install, remove and replacement of guard filters and

Worked as a Mechanical Technician at Ras Gas in Raslaffan on a manpower supply basis by
company Qatar Kentz WLL. Ras Gas is a Mobil group company and a leading LNG producer
the state of Qatar.
The nature of the duty being performed on a day to day basis is described below
25 Take the work instructions from the Maintenance Supervisor
26 Visit the site and carry-out an initial investigation of the job
27 Assess the requirements of tools, spare parts, cranes, scaffolding, insulation removal and S/D
requirements etc
28 Discuss with the field operations staff about the isolation requirements
29 Get the necessary work permits (cold/hot) prior to the start of the actual job
30 Assist the operations staff in isolating the systems
31 If the machine is electric driven rotating equipment (Pumps, compressors etc) get the power
source isolated and lock it prior to any maintenance
32 Install spades/blinds as per the blinding list in order to get the system positively isolated
33 Disconnect the pipe-works and install end blinds wherever necessary
34 Make match marks and disconnect the coupling
35 Remove the equipment from its location
36 Assist in transporting the equipment to the work shop
37 Dismantle and clean the equipment
38 Assess and quantify the extent of the damage
39 Identify the spare parts required
40 Assemble the equipment back maintaining the allowable tolerances
41 Clean the skid thoroughly and re-install the equipment at site
42 Reconnect the pipe-works using standard gaskets
43 Reconnect the coupling with the match marks on
44 Top up with the required quantity of lubricating oil
45 If operationally possible, static test the equipment prior to alignment in order to confirm there is
no leakage through the seals or joints
46 Carry-out the coupling alignment
47 Map the alignment results
48 Provide re-commissioning assistance to the process staff
49 Clear the site and close out the work permit
