Dear Hiring Manager

It is with pleasure that I submit my resume to you for consideration for the career opportunity of:

Outside Sales Representative

After spending a large portion of my career in restaurant sales, operations and ownership in the

Performing Arts and the last 5 years in Outside Sales Rep. for a medium sized music company

in the Upper Midwest, I believe I have merged those experiences and skills to become the best

suited candidate for the position you hope to fill in Detroit. I have experience developing, growing

and maintaining a successful and profitable territory. I think you’ll agree I have the kind of

background and skills that your company can capitalize?

I am gregarious and open minded by nature. This allows me to learn quickly and apply new skills

and knowledge immediately in my daily interaction with others at all levels. But, I am also very

competitive and like to win!

Having been in competitive sports since high school I apply the same principles of competition

(discipline, positive attitude, eye on the prize, intensity and drive) in business. Add to that a

positive attitude and you can see the benefit of me being a valued member of your company.

II would very much like to talk with you about the possibilities this opportunity offers. Please call

me so that we may share more information about me, your company, the position you are hiring,

and the likelihood of a great fit.

Rest assured, I am moving to greater Detroit at the end of April and hope to begin my new career

at that time.. I appreciate your consideration and I hope to hear from you soon.

Best Regards,

Brian R. Smith
