BASF is the world’s largest chemical company. SAP PI is
-
the main EAI tool to integrate their applications and to
integrate their partner applications.

XI 3.0 and PI 7.11 are used to integrate SAP and Non
SAP and proprietary tools of BASF.
Migration: All the interfaces of XI 3.0 and PI 7.11 are
-
migrated to PI 7.3. Migration is taken place by scenario
by scenario from XI 3.0/PI 7.11 to PI 7.3, without down
time of the production.
August 2010 to Jan 2011 Alkafji (SaudiArabia),
- This is SR M7.0 implimentation project,P I
i nvolved in scenarios like e Tendering a nd
S uplier self services (SUS) .The integration takes
p lace between ECC( M M) and SR M.
- eTendering: Purchase requisition,purchase
r equisition confi rmation,Bidders
i nformation,RFQ,Pu rchase order etc..
- SUS: Vendor master data replication, purchase
o rder,delivery notification,service notification
e tc..
- Adapters:I DOC,xi,ABAP proxies
J anua ry 2010 to June 2010 Haworth
This is wide range of integration for SAP and
-
Maniframes and some other Legacy Systems using
PI7.1.The integration involved in different sap modules
like HR,SD,MM etc..
Developed much complex scenarios in XSLT mapping
-
and Message mapping and mutimappings without BPM,
with different adapters like IDOC,file,JDBC.
October 2009 to Dec 2009 AMR and ISU Integration
This is an integration of AMR, SCADA, GIS, and Outage
-
Management with SAP-ISU. The specified third party
systems generates fixed length files, PI picks up these
files and generates BAPI-xmls then invokes
corresponding RFCs(BAPIs) in SAP-ISU(ECC 6.0)
Adapters: File, RFC
-
Mapping: Java Mapping
-
November 2008 to May 2009 BFSI Solution(UBI-Bank)
- Bank may receive inst ructions from its
Corporate Customers to execute Payments in
f avor of thi rd pa rties, who may have an Account
w ith BANK or w ith external banks. The payment
i nstructions can be executed by BANK either by
p rinting & dispatching the same or execute E F T
t h rough NE FT.
- I n tegration of SAP ERP system and Fincale
( Core banking system) w ith P I 7.0 by using
I DOC and JAVA proxy and BP M.
PI converts idoc into ISO8583 xml and JPR converts this
-
xml into native iso8583 native format which can be
understand by Finacle.
June 2008 to October 2008 WR GRACE- Phase2
Integration of SAP with third party systems PPS, GLIMS
-
and MIS. This integration enables SAP and third party
systems to exchange data like material master, customer
master, production order, purchase order, planning order
etc.
These systems are geographically located in different
-
places. SAP R/3 in Columbia (US) PPS, GLIMS and MIS
are located in worms (Germany).
Earlier these systems were integrated by MQ SERIES.
-
There are two MQ SERIES, one at SAP R/3 end, second
one at third party systems end. There are two categories
of interfaces, download interfaces from SAP to third
party, Upload interfaces from third party to SAP.
Download: MQ SERIES in US takes the files from
-
specific folders of SAP and sends to MQ SERIES
worms, MQ SERIES worms place the file in windows file
system and sends acknowledgment back to MQ SERIES
US. Third party systems (PPS, GLIMS, MIS) picks the
files from windows file system.
Upload: Third party systems drop the files in windows
-
file system.MQ SERIES in Worms picks the files and
sends to MQ SERIES US.MQ SERIES US receives the
files and drops them in respective folder then sends
acknowledgment back.
MQ SERIES is replaced with SAP-XI: Both MQ Series
-
US and Worms were replaced by SAP-XI and enables
the same functionality with better way.
1. As architecture designed solution as follows; we
-
integrated the systems with local J2SE adapter engines,
one on SAP system and second one on windows file
system.
2. Adapters: Local J2SE file adapters and xi adapter to
-
communicate from integration server to receiver local
j2se adapter.
March 2008 to May 2008 WR GRACE-Phase1
Integrating SAP ECC 5.0 and Third party Database
-
systems FedEx (MS SQL), Supply Master (Firebird),
The integration is synchronous, but all scenarios are
initiated by SAP.
Delivery is send from sap to FedEx and supply master.
-
Goods issue and Tracking Number are send from
FedEx and Supply Master to SAP.
All are synchronous scenarios, initiated by SAP.
-
Adapters: RFC (Sender), JDBC (Receiver).
-
JDBC Driver installation.
-
Mapping lookups with JDBC Adapter.
-
December 2007 to Mar 2008 AdityaBirla Mumbai
Integration of i2 and SAP 4.7 .i2 is Sales Order
-
application and Aditya have two SAP systems one for
Grasim and one for Ultra Tech Cement.
The integration is as follows in two Directions,
-
1. I2 to SAP Grasim and I2 to SAP Ultratech.
2. Grasim to i2 and Ultra Tech to i2.
Sales Order creation, Credit check, change, cancellation
-
from i2 to SAP Grasim and SAP Ultra tech cement. DI
and PGI, Sales Order creation, Cancellation from SAP to
i2.
1. The scenarios i2 to SAP are Synchronous by using
-
SOAP and RFC as adapters.
2. The scenarios from SAP to i2 are asynchronous by
-
using IDOC and SOAP adapters, but we need to update
the response back to sap systems so we have used
BPMs.
October 2006 to December 2007 Amgen – (North America)
Integrating SAP-R/3, Werum (Third Party) Biztalk (Third
-
Party) systems with help of SAP-XI, over Idoc and SOAP
adapters For Amgen North America.
Sending the messages like Material, Payment,
-
Customer, Vendor, and Batch Material etc from SAP-R/3
to Werum and Biztalk systems.
Idoc (Sender) and SOAP (Receiver) adapters, xslt
-
mapping (werum Systems), Message mapping(Biztalk
Systems),UDF and advanced Receiver determination.
April 2005 to November 2005 iGATE (Portfolio Connect)
SAP xRPM enables Project Managers and Resource
-
Managers and Portfolio Managers to take Quality
Decisions. PeopleSoft system is sending HR information
to SAP xRPM over SAP XI. Under HR Information
Organizational/ Qualification/Employee Information has
to be provided from PeopleSoft over XI to SAP xRPM so
that resource and portfolio processing can be done.
- Portfolio Connect is the integration of PeopleSoft
a nd SAP xRP M over SAP X I. Adapters: HTTP, IDOC
Mapping: Message mapping with simple user defined
-
and advanced functions
