I previously held a USDA Inspection License (B-22743) to inspect any fruit
or vegetable including peanuts and farmer/mill stock. I have worked in
California, Arizona and Mexico. I am very familiar with agricultural
process; I have full knowledge of seed sizing, field cultivation,
harvesting, cooler operations, storage and shipping. I have extensive
experience in the inspection of vegetables, fruits, and full knowledge of
field and packinghouse repack operations. Other skill areas are lab
analysis and procedures, forklift operation, crew supervision of up to 100
people, writing of product descriptions, and advanced computer skills. I
can also perform basic maintenance on industrial machinery and operate them
safely. I have basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, welding and shop
activities. I can operate most heavy construction equipment. Current CDL
class A license. I previously held a Qualified Pesticide Applicator
Certificate (QC 15473) that was valid to December 2002. In the past, I was,
enrolled at the University of Northwestern Ohio and AIU online for business
management. I am, also, a certified firefighter, engineer, and EMT.

Main duties included the pre-trip inspection of vehicle to insure the
safety of the vehicle and driver. Post trip inspection of vehicle to insure
vehicle was safe after each trip driving. Load inspection to insure load
was properly loaded and strapped down correctly. Fueling of vehicle and
driving safely from pickup and drop off locations.

QUALITY CONTROL SUPERVISOR, March 2006 to December 2010
The main duties at Safeway's largest division were but not limited to the
following areas; the quality of all produce and flowers for approx. 325
stores in Safeway's Nor Cal Division. Primary quality inspections at the
receiving point of approx. 150-300 line trucks daily $1.5 mil., weekly in
fresh produce receiving. All the ripening, of the Nor Cal Divisions,
bananas, avocados, and mangoes in ripening rooms including, the primary
inspection of the fruit. The Nor Cal Div. has 44 ripening rooms holding
1000 pallets of product daily. Also responsible for the color and ripeness
of the product coming out of the rooms and placement of all produce and
floral product into their proper temperature zones for longer shelf life.
Keeping organic produce separated from contamination, by conventional
produce in the storage racks in the cold room. Reported directly to the Nor
Cal Div. Produce Manager and/or the V.P. of Produce.
The Quality Control Supervisor's primary responsibility for Safeway's
largest distribution center was the inspection of fruits and vegetables,
processed fruits and vegetables for the consumer market, salad mixes and
related products. Other responsibilities included but not limited to the
supervision of a staff of six. The writing certificates of product
descriptions for truckloads that failed to grade US No.1 and to meet
Safeway's quality control standard guidelines. The re-inspection of aged
produce, to assist the sales staff in timely sales, of aged produce.
Assisted in writing the specifications and standards of Safeway's Quality
Control Dept. Acquisition of computer data and preparation of accurate
analysis spreadsheets are a critical component of the duties.
Plant Sciences, Inc., Watsonville, CA
PLANT BREEDER'S ASSISTANT, December 1996 to March 2006.
The senior assistant is primarily responsible for the management of
assigned seed production and nursery stock for nine fields of experimental
artichokes. Related management duties include supervision and oversight of
field workers, harvesting, fertilizer application and various other plant
breeding responsibilities including artichoke seed production. Acquisition
of computer data and preparation of accurate analysis spreadsheets are a
critical component of the duties.
Coronet Foods, Salinas, CA - Yuma, AZ
QUALITY CONTROL SUPERVISOR, August 1993 to January 1995.
The Quality Control Supervisor responsibilities for processed vegetables
for the consumer market, salad mixes and related products. I enjoyed a
rapid promotion from entry level to management level responsibilities. I
voluntarily resigned when the company refused to honor a verbal agreement
for a promotion salary adjustment.
Yuma, Arizona - Federal State Inspection Agency (USDA)
INSPECTOR 1, November 1984 to June 1993.
Primary duty was the inspection of fruits and vegetables prior product
shipment. Inspection sites included large-scale cooler and packing
facilities, field packing, and repack operations. I was responsible for the
issuance of certificates foreign and domestic and quality identification
for local cooler records, including three seasons of peanut inspection.
Some experience in lab work, weights and measures, and computer data entry.
Pacific International Cooling Co., Yuma AZ
INVENTORY CONTROL, November 1987 to July 1989.
Primary responsibility was for the organization, inventory control, and
storage of cooled produce products and dock loading forklift operations.
