Contract Position

This project assignment involved the revision and documentation of the process and control of a Resin Injection Machine (RIM) located at the Toyota assembly plant in Kentucky. This project included all aspects of the documentation from start up to operation and maintenance. This also included operational flow charts and machine control functions using a Allen Bradley PLC.

Contract Position

My duties on this assignment involved the design and testing of a new concept in Semi-Tractor Trailer Aerodynamics. This included the implementation and oversight of the mechanical, pneumatic and electronic design as well as project scheduling, material selection, vendor selection with on site inspections and field testing at Goodyear facilities in Dallas, TX and Cumberland, MA. I also did the preparation and documentation for various required patents and searches.

Contract Position

My responsibilities on this assignment included the layout and design of all phases of the mechanical and electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies required for the installation of a Remote Camera Inspection and Rejection system using gray scale identification to detect flawed or missing parts on an auto conveyor line.

Printed Circuit Designer-North American Aviation, Columbus, OH

Contract Position

This assignment involved the finalization of in process projects during a Company move to Huntsville, AL. My responsibilities in this position included the design of the schematics and printed circuit layouts for the guidance systems in the Hell Fire, Side Winder and GBU15 military missiles. This included the design of high density SMD and multi layer circuit boards.

September 1994 to November 1996

Project Engineer-Monsanto Instruments, Akron, OH

Contract Position

This position involved the development and design of a new microprocessor based rubber testing instrument, used to test the curing rate and density of rubber samples before committing to a large run. This included specifying both hardware and software, scheduling the engineering manpower required, coordinating with purchasing to develop a cost structure and final assembly/testing. I also authored a study and appropriation request to validate the necessity of a CAD Computer Aided Drafting system in the Engineering Department, which resulted in the purchase of a Auto Cad System.

Contract Position

My responsibilities in this position included the schematic circuit design and prototyping for equipment used to test and simulate air born regulators and generators. While on this project I also developed a simple software program using BASIC to test sub-assemblies before final assembly.
