Primary Role in DFx Management
Preparation of DFx Quote with minimum inputs by considering design
criticality and different Process stages.
. DFA Activities using Valor tool based on manufacturing
experience for reducing potential risk /Cost Reduction.
. Organizing Review with internal process team to give the
current Manufacturing feedbacks also to customer.
. Global Review with customer to make improvements in Design
input files based on the shared DFx report.
. Clarifications with different PCB fabricator to reduce the
risk in Bare board.
. Set up an ERF files Based on the different parameters,updation of rule file based on new Risk in
Manufacturing, IPC Standard and based on the feedback from PCB
Supplier for the new capabilities.
. Huge Valor Part library management and its control.
. Managing all DFx Activities in different modules at different
stations.
. Follow up for the DFM NRE PO related activities to bring it
to closure.
. Manage all Activities including multiple projects within the
schedule,support for the Installation of Valor tool
and involvement to resolve the different tool errors with
immediate effect.
. Single point contact to customer for all DFx Activity to
share the report and its clarifications.
. Support to Component Engineering Team .
. DFM Presentation for the NPI Engineers / Production Engineers
to share the importance of DFM Activities.
Achievements
. Verified More than 400+ Boards through valor tool by reducing
potential risk in Manufacturing with 100%
ICT coverage.
. It helps transition of new products and processes into volume
smoothly.
. Developed and maintaining a huge Valor part Library for DFA
Analysis.
. In addition to the General DFM Guideline, Developed / Customized
different DFM Rule file based on minimum manufacturing capability
requirement in Reflow, wave,X-ray,PCB singulation, Process Set up
and FPT .Thus could reduced the potential Risks in different
Manufacturing Areas, Reduced handsoldering,Reworks,Improved the
board quality, reliability, reduced the process cycle time and
fixture rework .
. Initiate to develop Selective Soldering checks through Valor
for different palette thickness and also for the
Selective soldering Machine. By developed this constraints
and test method,reduced many handsoldering components
and handtouch up the different solder joints .Developed the
palette selection also through this
tool.
. Developed the DFT rule file based on the minimum requirement
of Test nodes and fixture fabricator
capability Requirement, this test included the test point
check based on the component height to consider the
milling areas in fixture.
. Setup different Parameters and Variable (more than 2000) for
proper working of Valor Tool.
. Recovered the tool cost within 2 years through the NRE DFM
PO.
. Developed many automation method in Valor tool for the Rapid
DFx work within the limited time.
. Manage all DFx Activities with single license by using proper
time management and effective utilization of
Resources.
. Cost Reduction opportunities highlighted for many projects by
removing the unwanted Process.
. Reduced the Material Rejection/Scrap by doing BOM Analysis
and by doing the BOM Merge.
. DFM Database Management by including all status like NRE PO,work schedule,Customer feedbacks, Internal process
feedbacks,DFM closure status,ICT Coverage and NRE Billing
details.
. Prepared the world-class DFx report format.
. In Depth Manufacturing Process Knowledge and strong idea for
