Drug Treatment Specialist Atlanta, GA
A 500 Hour Comprehensive Drug/Alcohol Program for inmates incarcerated at USP Atlanta who had a
history of substance abuse and was convicted of drugs. Intensive groups and drug education classes were
taught, treatment plans initiated. After successful completion of the program, inmates received a year
taken off their original sentence.
St. Jude’s Recovery Center September 2000-December

Facilitated all substance abuse groups/classes for all clients enrolled in the program. Initiated treatment
plans and conducted initial Intake periodically. Successful completion of the program, clients were able
to transition back to society.
The Salvation Army (ARC) March 2005-June 2010

Intake on all admissions who were admitted to the 136 bed facility. A religious based organization; this
was a 1 year program which consisted of a Work Therapy Program. As a Counselor, I facilitated
classes/groups on various areas, such as Cognitive Skills, Social Skills, and Transition Phase as well as
conducted Individual Counseling.

Implemented a Drug Treatment Program for the 136 bed facility; a 6-month inpatient program.
Coordinated all programs/classes and supervised 3 employees. Conducted staff meetings, case reviews
weekly, treatment plans and summaries. After the resident’s successful completion of the program, a
Transition Phase was put into place for After-Care.
Director of Alpha and Celebrate Recovery Programs
Facilitated a program for new beginning Christians who want to know more about God. This program
was targeted to individuals who have (Hurt, Habit, Hang-up’s), which met weekly. Responsible for
facilitating the program and conducting small group studies.
Corps Administrator (Minister) Pine Bluff, AR & Washington, D.C.
Responsible for all day to day operations over-seeing a Church (Minister), Social Services Department,
Thrift Store, and Shelter for the Homeless. Responsible for 12 Employees to manage and assist in these
areas. Ensured all bookkeeping was completed in a timely manner, conducted Fundraising (Red Kettles
Campaign). Conducted a Feeding Program for the homeless 3 times a week. As a Pastor, ministered to
the men and women in the center. Taught Spirituality classes daily as well as Spiritual Counseling and
Pastoral Care.
Quest 35, Inc.
Resident Manager September 2010-January 2011
Responsible for 7-10 Homeless men in a Transitional setting. Monitor all behaviors, logging notes daily,
meetings, inspections, all administrative duties of the house. Referrals from St. Joseph’s Marcy Care.
Conducted drug tests and walk through inspections and answer phones. Report to Program Manager at
Quest 35, Inc.
Case Manager, Veterans Village February 2011- Present
Work with Veterans and recommending them to Permanent Support Housing, meet with them twice a
month, facilitate groups, individual counseling, conduct drug screen, inspections of apartments. Case
manage them to ensure they become self sufficient.
Zaban Couples Center.
Resident Manager
Responsible for 20 Homeless couples in a night shelter. Monitors all their behaviors, loggings daily
notes, attending meetings, conduct room inspections, individual/group counseling, conduct drug screens.
