35 years experience with Charles Moore, M.D. until he retired in September 2013.
Duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, filing, pulling charts,
insurance verification, insurance claims filing and processing, reconciling payments,
handling problem claims, scheduling specialty medical tests and obtaining authorizatiions,
scheduled patient admissions, payroll for a 2 person office, tax deposits, prepare
documents to send to CPA, prepare documents for quarterly reports, prepare documents
to ready CPA to do W2's, handle all incoming and outgoing mail, maintain stock of front
office supplies and back office supplies, balance check book, pay all office related bills,
handle any necessary problems related to patient accounts or office accounts. Have never
had any medical software training but am a quick learner. I have worked for 35 years
using a typewriter, processing HCFA 1500 claims by hand and heavy use of the ICD9 and
CPT coding to bill claims. My experience is with a family practice office. My billing is with
ledger cards, my payroll experience is much like a personal check book I typed all checks.
