SUMMARY
I am a registered nurse with The NMC since August 2000. My main work
responsibilities as a CCU Nurse are ; Assess, plan and provide high dependency
care to cardiology patients, prepare and administer intravenous medication,
cannulation and venepuncture for catheter lab patients, adult congenital heart
disease clients, Emergency primary angioplasty service clients and day case
cardiology service end users and pre Bypass cardiothoracic patients.
I participate in MDT planning of heart failure patients discharged to the
community.Provide initial cardiac rehab discussion for patients who have had
a heart attack. Provide Intermediate Life Support and participate in resuscitation
of patients in cardiac arrest, supervise and mentor pre registration nursing
students, mentor student paramedics and liaise with allied health professionals.
