machines and wine chillers for industrial, commercial and residential applications.

• Recruited to bring an aging lack luster maintenance department to modern day standards.

• To reduce department cost and decrease unnecessary spare parts inventory.

• To provide training for existing maintenance personnel and to train new in coming multicraft technicians.

• Manages Capital projects up 2.5 million dollars, an annual budget of 1.25 million and 1.5 million dollars of

inventory.

J&L Machine and Supply, Bessemer City, NC 2/05-7/08

Maintenance Manager

Privately held business start-up. Job-shop/machine shop for custom and contract repair and specialty

machining and fabrication.

Hired as employee #6, had the responsibility to design, develop and implement SOPs and preventive

maintenance schedules for the business. Responsible for all aspects of troubleshooting and repair of a

wide range of machines, such as CNC lathes and mills, air compressors, press brakes, forklifts, laser

tables, manual and automatic saws, installation of new machines and air compressors, building

maintenance and waste oil systems. Building and maintaining water treatment needed for operation of

the steam boiler systems for both heat and process steam capabilities.

Planned and carried out OSHA safety guide lines for an ISO 9001:9002, ISO/AS9100 certified shop of 80 people, also

maintained fire codes and EPA standards.
