Temporary Solution Control

Run pH and titrations on acid, degreaser, and cleaner. Verify if tanks meet SPM requirements. Notify

Supervisor if tanks are out of tolerance. Record metal loading and prints out weekly report. Keep track of

consumable items to avoid being out of stock.

DRB AVIATION- San Antonio, Texas 2007

Lab Technician trainee

Arranged newly formed parts department, shipping and receiving, putting together computer desks, tree

trimming, installing indoor AC unit, installing wall-mounted air fresheners and cabinets, and I learned to run the

horizontal tester.

WEATHERFORD INTERNATIONAL-Elmendorf, Texas 2005-2006

QC Technician

I performed lab tests such as acid number, activity, amine equivalent weight, density, film test, grind out, pH,

specific gravity, freeze/thaw test, And foam test. I assisted in stenciling and labeling pails, totes, and drums. I

helped pump waste from totes to the waste tank, I helped in retrieving drums that would be filled with product;

and I disposed of lab waste- water.

VARIOUS TEMPORARY POSITIONS-different locations 2001- 2005

Express Personnel, Staffing Solutions, CPST, Hawkins Personnel, Briggs & Stratton, Manpower, Volt,

Innovative Employment Solutions and Vehicular Testing Services. Tested, refueled, and cleaned or replaced

air filters on lawn mowers that were brought down from Wisconsin. Attended electronic assembly class in

Sequin, Texas. Performed liaison and tire technician duties, performed duties such as help install office

furniture and helped install forms on river bed to prevent erosion; performed tests such as kinematic viscosity,

cold crank, flash, spectrometry, specific gravity, emulsion; and I gauged tanks, sampled tanks, and

performed outage on railcars. Assisted in staging, charging, and alloying furnaces. Positioned holder at start

of cast, burned chemistry of furnaces and holders to insure metal is on grade, and cleaned troughs and Seely

bowls after cast. Gained experience with various types of forklifts and overhead crane. Loaded and unloaded

trailers with appliances and furniture; and carried appliances up to apartments. Rode assigned route on

motorcycle, checked and adjusted air pressure, and refueled bike. Learned to operate CMM, staged and

removed diesel blocks after testing by use of overhead crane, assisted in assembling workshop tables, painted

floors, and assembled conveyors.

BRITISH PETROLEUM- Texas City, Texas 2000-2001

Pick up refinery and chemical samples. Performed tests such as sulfur GC, chlorides GC, NACE, induction,

distillations, corrosions, density by DMA, solidification point, color-acid wash, Saybolt color and APHA color

using the Hunter instrument, polymers, napthenes, PMCC flash, TCC flash, COC flash, and acidity.

I Performed all duties in the lab. Some of which were: textile tests such as tensile strength, tear strength, pH,

fabric weight, crocking, and shrinkage. Also maintained binders of test procedures, process formulas, MSDS,

items to avoid being out of stock.

Performed distillations, API gravity and density, conductivity, kinematic viscosity, digital density, Cleveland

open cup flash, P-M flash, water by Karl Fischer, microseparometer, pentane/toluene insolubles, carbon

hydrogen analysis, x-ray fluorescence, chromatography (benzene, toluene, and oxygenates in gasoline), 10%

rams bottoms, steam jet gum, and supercritical fluid chromatography.

GOLDEN ALUMINUM- San Antonio, Texas 1991 - 1996

Laboratory Technician

Performed testing for physical properties and chemical make-up in high technology, $250M aluminum sheet

production plant employing 230 people, and producing 180M pounds of material annually. Ensured final

product was suitable for customer use. Assessed material quality and decided if the material should be

reworked or scrapped. Identified defects in finished gauge and all in-process metal.

Temporary Laboratory Technician

Performed distillations, dry point, end point, sulfur content, anti-icing, kauri butanol titration, and

aniline point laboratory tests. Loaded drums, fuel trucks and tank cars. Built FIA columns to

measure percentage of paraffins, olefins, napthenes, and aromatics using ultra-violet light and

refractometer equipment. Gauged and sampled tanks.

PHILLIPS 66 REFINERY- Sweeny, Texas 1989-1990

Utility Tester

Sampled product tanks. Tested products by performing cloud point, pour point, flash point, API gravity, ASTM

color, viscosity, bituminous sediment and water, and water-by-distillation.
