To Whom It May Concern:
I am an enthusiastic, self motivated, creative problem solver who has 12 years experience in
training, facilitation, public speaking, human resources and events. In January 2014 I received my
PHR certification after being a Training Manager with Norwegian Cruise Line. Our corporate
office used my expertise and guidance to create a departmental needs analysis for our shipboard
teams. I have trained over 100 managers in leadership and facilitated meetings with our ship board
senior management. I presented on numerous occasions to our entire shipboard crew on Platinum
Standards and guest satisfaction scores. I recruited all of our PBT, Position Based Trainers.
Previously as an Assistant Cruise Director for Celebrity Cruise Lines, I not only lead our team to
excellent ratings, I created and implemented numerous new activities. I held the position of
Executive Director for Mills 50 Mainstreet, acting as the key coordinator for the City of Orlando,
area businesses, and residents to revitalize the district. I was an instrumental player in building a
non profit organization from the ground up to become a 501C3 organization. Prior to Mainstreet I
held the title of Conference Center Sales Manager at Rosen Shingle Creek. I opened more new
accounts than any of my counterparts. When I was with the Heart of Florida United Way I created
and conducted a week of Loaned Executive training. The ‘LE training’ focused on presentation
skills and team building. In addition to training the Loaned Executives I trained over 200 Federal
Employees in their work place giving campaigns. I spoke publicly on behalf of the Combined
Federal Campaign raising over $700,000.
Prior to my career in the cruise industry, my background in recreation allowed me to further
develop my strong personal communication skills while working with diverse groups varying in
socioeconomic backgrounds, ethnicity’s, age groups and religious preferences. My passion for
people led me to the non profit sector where I myself was a Loaned Executive for United Way.
Later I became a full time employee and the Florida State Employee Charitable Campaign Director
(FSECC) Director.
I have a broad background in training and development, public speaking, sales, coordinating large
scale private parties, and directing corporate and community events. I have extensive experience in
team building. My team management experience has allowed me the ability to delegate
responsibilities when necessary. I am well organized and enjoy structure; however, I am flexible
when changes arise. My academic studies in the area of human communications have provided me
with excellent group dynamic, inter cultural and relationship building talents.
Sincerely,
Kristine Iverson
