Dissertation abstract: The work aims to analyze and reconstruct the mutual relations of space and time between different
formations outcropping in the Montagna dei Fiori and characterize the geometry and kinematics of tectonic elements in order to
reconstruct the various successive deformation events in the region.
In the second part of the work will be presented retrodeformation the sequential structure of the Montagna dei Fiori using a
combination of different kinematic models, tested and validated by structural modeling programs, and constructed on the basis of
geological sections that use a new interpretation of the stratigraphic Jurassic paleogeography .

Description: - Extensive knowledge and skills in areas such as stratigraphy (based on physical criteria, biological and geochemical),
the sedimentology, structural geology and volcanology, as well as the different methods of exploration, collection and
interpretation of geophysical data;
- Knowledge and skills necessary to design and carry out campaigns for the collection of geological data, both surface and
subsurface, are aimed at the basic studies for the various applications of geology: research, evaluation and management of natural
resources such as hydrocarbons, geothermal, geological materials economic interest;
- Knowledge and skills appropriate to the study of the seabed;
- Ability to produce base maps and thematic and continental areas of the seabed;
- Ability to use modern methods applied to the study of geological processes, including through specific IT tools;
- Preparation suitable for face characterization studies of geological materials and interpretation
geological processes that cause them;
- Adequate expertise to know how to choose the methods best suited to the different fields of exploration, coupled with a strong
capacity for innovation and flexibility;
- Good preparation for access to PhD and / or Master's level, and the world of scientific research.
