Quality Manager
Quality Director
• Management of a Mil-I-45208 and an ISO 9001-2000 compliant Quality System.
• Management of a calibration system that is traceable to N. I. S. T. and compliant with ISO 10012.
• Acted as the primary interface with both government quality assurance representative (DCMA) and commercial customers for the past 20 plus years at Ridge Instruments.
• Bid labor for quality functions, inspection, generating test reports, calibration, electrical testing, in-process and mil-spec packaging and packaging/kitting labor.
• Generating inspection instructions for receiving, in-process and final inspection.
• Maintained quality assurance records for government contracts. Most contracts require records to be archived 3-5 years.
• Maintained a list of approved vendors by auditing vendor quality programs through in-plant surveys, on-site audits and review of ISO 9001-2000 and AS9100 certifications.
• Generated test reports in accordance with contractual requirements for both the government and prime contractors.
• Maintained the required training records for all personnel at my former position, including solder certifications, ESD Training, and explosives handling permits for personnel.
• Maintained the Customer/Government Furnished Equipment log and was the liaison to the government/commercial property manager.
• Generated receiving reports and invoices in the government accounting system Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF).
• Acted as Safety Manager.
Certifications Certified IPC Trainer in accordance with IPC J-STD-001 (High Reliability Solder). I have been recertified every two years since 2005.
