Details and Length of experience in Hydro Power Plant Design & Consultancy
/Transmission Line & Generation projects: 6 years till now.
1) Preliminary design and layout of Hydro electric power plant,
Transmission Line (33 kV, 66 kV, 132 kV, 220 kV, and 400 kV) according to
Standard codes (Indian & International) and Interface of Electrical system
with Mechanical and Civil.
2) Preparation of detailed project report, tender document including Scope
of Work and Technical Specifications of Electrical equipments (Transmission
Line), cost estimates, Preparing ERM report, Bid evaluation, Coordination
with project General Manager, client and contractor.
3) Detailed design and engineering such as earthing calculations, Sag &
Stringing chart, Current carrying capacity, Surge impedance, fault level
calculations, Tower loadings, Soil resistivity (by using megger), Review of
tower spotting data, inductance & capacitance calculations etc.
Coordination with suppliers:
Tower design, detailing and approval (5 types of Towers), Foundation design
& Detailing, Conductor, OPGW/ GSS Earthwire, Insulators, H/W Fittings &

Coordination with Contractors:

192 MW ADHEP (220 kV D/C Tr. Line - 175 kM) - (Period 2008 - 2010):
Preparing line specifications, award of work to contractors and checking
their progress (Weekly & Monthly), selecting line corridor for various
voltage levels, and checking walk over and preliminary survey, check
survey, route alignment, sag template, profiling, tower spotting etc.
Electricity rules for fixing various clearances and of Indian and IEC
standards applicable to design of transmission line components, Design
calculations of towers and extensions and line diagrams for the same
considering reliability, weight, wind speed, risk factors, terrain,
temperature etc.
Checking of shop drawings, Proto Assembly so as to ensure that at site no
problems are encountered
. Selecting conductor and insulators for transmission lines.
. Sag Tension calculations, sag corrections, templates and profile
diagrams.
. Bill of quantities and cost estimation, Tests and Inspections of
towers,
Erection, testing, commissioning and handing over of transmission
lines to

International
standards and Electricity rules for transmission line structural
design.
7) Power System Analysis (Load Flow) Manual Calculations. Preparation of
Detail Project Report (Electrical). Preparation of Transformer technical
specification as per IEEE/IS/CBIP & Detailed Engineering for Power Stations
& Substations.
