Main activities and As a system specialist I take care of several activities:

responsibilities working within the infrastructure team of the software

implemented by the company, I deal with the administration

of Linux (CentOS & RHEL) and MS Windows (NT/2003) servers.

Moreover, as an important part of my job I do have to

follow the entire cycle of the software till its release

(from the installation, update and maintenance of tools

such as Eclipse, Maven, Jenkins to the run of automated (in

Python) scripts for the actual release of the software). I

often write scripts (shell and also dos batch) in order to

speed up and automate slow procedures.

Administration of versioning systems and repositories such

SVN and Mercurial servers are crucial as well.

Since the software products implemented are J2EE solutions,

I also deal with the installation, administration and

maintenance of application servers like JBoss, Oracle

Weblogic and IBM Websphere.

Software wise I usually create and maintain configuration

files and lately I have been developing an automated

solution to install the software products here implemented

(in Jython and Java).

Main activities and Quality control can be surely reached faster and more

responsibilities effortless. Automated solutions are of great importance

when coming to terms with the EPG software quality. I was

involved in the automation testing process from the very

beginning of my experience at Sky. At first my tasks

encompassed coding scripts (mostly for stress testing).

Then, my goals have been based upon analyzing Sky Italia

requirements, implementing stand-alone apps, tweaking and

maintaining existing projects and systems.

Through the months, as a result, I gained the position as

team leader of the test automation development team.

I dealt both with the development of an automation

framework (a collection of classes written in Python and

based upon S3's StormTest API) for the translation of the

manual test cases into automated and the development of

specific stand-alone programs mainly in MS .NET C#

(framework 3.5 & 4). I also took care of the system and

databases underneath, so Linux/MS servers (CentOS &

RedHat), MySQL databases.

Among the skills acquired during this professional

experience a good knowledge of the following programming

languages and techniques related: C#, Python, VB6, VB.net,

HTML, PHP, etc.

Main activities and EPG functional testing. Test cases writing. Automation

engineer I dealt with manual, simulated and automated

tests. I had the chance to understand and learn in depth

all the functionalities of a Set Top Box (hereafter STB)

and its related technologies: such as PVR, VoD, HDTV, etc.

Main activities and I started my career in the digital media world as an intern

responsibilities for Sky Italia. This 8- months period was incredibly

important for my professional growth and for my personal
