Quality Assurance Inspector
Responsible for the receiving, in-process, final inspection and documentation of sub-assemblies,
components and fully assembled bearings to certify compliance to contractual requirements of the customer.
Inspect the babbitted bond of various bearings produced, or refurbished, utilizing ultrasonic, penetrant and
visual testing methods. Perform inspections by interpreting, analyzing and researching complex data such as
blueprints, customer supplied sketches, or federal guidelines to create an inspection procedure utilizing an
ANSI/ASQC 4.0 sample plan or better and documenting all discrepancies with digital photographs. Generate
fully detailed nonconformance reports and distribute through the proprietary database software system.
Attend material review board meetings as required for analysis of nonconforming parts or to present findings
and recommendations for discrepant material. Prepare all documents, products, and packaging of bearings
ensuring that all information is correct for final approval by Government Source Inspection, or other third
party surveyors, who accept the final deliverable product for the customer. Responsible for the digital file
management activities of the quality department utilizing Excel, Word, and Adobe. In charge of the
development of new procedures, processes and guidelines in the quality department that were implemented
company wide. Accountable for the effective use of resources and project planning using decision-making
skills to generate results that provide exceptional service both to internal and external customers.
