Work Experience
March 2014 - present: Freestart Plc
Customer Services Representative
As part of a new team at Freestart Online Business Solutions, I took on the role of
Customer Services Representative. This role was created to support the small businesses
we provide with websites and mobile phone apps, providing support and assistance
with any queries they may have regarding the product.
Mainly telephone based, I would make and receive calls with customers regarding any
issues and talk them step by step through ways of amending matters, software upgrades
that may better suit their requirements and communicate the most efficient ways for
them to take advantage of the product provided.
October 2012 – present: Entrepreneurial Venture
One of my main passions is art, and I have recently started a business in the media
production and merchandise sector with my three bandmates. We offer bands and
companies top quality merchandise at competitive prices through research and
commitment to the trade.
Once a month at the unit we rent as a workspace, we are able to hold events, which can
range from alternative band and art nights, to jumble sales and craft fairs. We try to
create a broad spectrum with the aim to further our name in the area.
This sort of venture has took a lot of time and dedication with childhood friends striving
towards one goal. This continues to be a growing hobby that provides much pleasure
and reward through hard work.
November 2008 - January 2014: Debenhams
Business Administration Officer
A team administrative role dealing primarily with the store’s financial operations, my
tasks typically included preparing figures reports for the day/week/month/year,
receiving deliveries and organising the product distribution, preparing the store for the
day and preparing for various promotions and events.
I was also required to communicate with customers on a regular basis, ensuring the best
possible service is maintained, and feedback of all natures were dealt with accordingly. I
provided support to a large number of staff, from ordering items for day to day trading,
to organising out of store activities such as train tickets, conference centres and hotel
suites.
Aside from administrative tasks, I had the opportunity to work on multiple departments.
I took on loading bay challenges to acquire more experience, which included loading,
stripping and organising deliveries for the shop floor ready to be merchandised. I also
acquired summer work in the store's restaurant, where I took on new tasks such as food
preparation, meeting and greeting customers and hygiene maintenance.
January 2010 - June 2010: Duncan Regents Associates
Sales Representative
In this role I worked independently to reach high daily and weekly targets in a fast paced
environment. I felt incredibly motivated in this context, and consistently reached and
surpassed what was required of me. I feel this position allowed me to thrive in high
pressure situations, and I enjoyed the achievements that came as a result of this.
Customer relationships were pivotal to the role, and maintaining these was something I
felt comfortable forming and consistently retaining throughout my time here.
Administrative tasks were also commonplace, and creating and completing invoices for
customers was a regular task, leading to filing systems being developed for efficient
processing and development of those relationships.
Interests and Activities
I love music and have been playing guitar for 10 years. This saw me form a band and
after years of commitment has seen me travel around the country doing something I
love. Other passions include reading, cinematography, psychology and photography.
