Squadron in all roles including LOX (Aviation Liquid Oxygen) Park, as

well two SP (Security Police) airmen working in Weapons Depot.

. Maritime surveillance operator performed operations of fisheries

control, pollution surveillance, smuggling control, search and rescue

(SAR), medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) and transport. Have conducted

about 200 flight hours.

. Continually maintained and processed imagery for fish ship and other

Forward air control (JTAC - Joint Terminal Attack Controller)

. Based in Kabul, but operated from Forward Operating Bases and in

remote locations. Qualified Combat Ready executed operational missions

in war theatre. Have conducted more than 200 missions.

. Managed JTAC teams in QRF (Quick Response Force) and RRF (Reserve

Response Force) and its equipments and vehicles. Coordinated all

mission support logistics. Coordinated missions with other ISAF JTAC

teams.

. Coordinated and directed operations involving CAS (Close Air Support)

with ISAF aircrafts and with Portuguese ground forces and sometimes

with other ISAF forces.

. Planned, coordinated and control all aerial means in mission support,

since CAS until COMBATSAR (Search and rescue in combat).

. Served as Air Liaison Officer between JTAC teams, Portuguese

contingent and ISAF Headquarters.

February 1999 - October 2007, Technical Sergeant / Master Sergeant, Air

Bases N. 6 and N. 4, 751 and 711 Squadrons (Helicopter SA-330S-1 PUMA),

Montijo / Madeira / Azores, Portugal.

Air crewmember / Winchman (helicopter hoist operator / systems operator)

. Alert crewmember (24/365), executed day and night operations of search

and rescue at land and sea, and rescue missions, support and transport

of victims in shipwrecks, mountain, accidents and catastrophes. In-

flight and in ground suspended load operations with helicopter in some

points of difficult access in Portugal. Tactical transport of staff,

material and suspended loads. About 1500 flight hours.

. Performed COMBATSAR training missions.

. Coordinated and performed with flight engineer, helicopter light

maintenance, serviceability and change aircraft configuration in

mission's accordance.

. Maintained accountability, serviceability, and security of all

supplies and equipment, and performed ground maintenance in flotation

systems, anti-fire system, hydraulic hoist, cargo sling, life support

and SAR equipments under winchman responsibility.

. Helicopters in-flight instructor for winchman, suspended load and

systems operation. About 400 flight hours. Actively participated in

pilots and rescue divers instruction.

. Participated in elaboration the notebook of incumbencies for the

public competition for the acquisition of Helicopter EH-101, for the

Portuguese Air Force.

. Have conducted dozens of rescues, as well as hundreds of operational

missions, thus giving my contribution to the greatness of both
