S enior Mechanical Engineer, Mountz, Inc. 3/1/2013 Present
San Jose, CA
- Supported the engineering effort by developing torque and torque solutions and cutting -
edge tools. Specific solutions implemented include:
o Custom tool wrench for Boeing, Bio Lab, and others to meet specified requirements.
o TB, TBIH, MMTB Break-Over Torque Wrench with various toque ranges.
o Run down adapter to provide consistent and reliable torque readings for use with
power driven torque control tools. The run down adapter is mounted in-line
between the tool drive and transducer.
o Custom grip head. Head can be used for round knurled or non-knurled nut(s) where
gripping to tighten might damage the surface. Typically, for odd sizes and with no
flats for a wrench head to grip. Also, can be used to tighten certain tube shapes that
wouldn’t collapse under torque pressure.
o Repackaging of torque analyzers for improvement in usability and cost reduction.
- Used Netsuite system to create BOM and control documenta tion.
L ead Mechanical Engineer, Thermonics, Inc. 8/1/2000 2/1/2012
Sunnyvale, CA
- Initially hired as mechanical design engineer to design frames and enclosures for integration
of semiconductor temperature test systems; promoted to Lead Mechanical Engineer. Duties
as lead included:
o Planned and scheduled projects and reported to senior management.
o Oversaw design process responding to ECO/ECN/ECR processes and maintained
BOMs.
o Managed a team and assigned tasks to engineers.
o Ensured scalability, schedules, communication and focused business goals to meet
objectives.
o Worked closely with product development teams on new thermal test
semiconductor projects.
o Repackaging project involved supervisor, self, EE, h/w, s/w and product engineering.
o Designed customer thermal fixture adding chip to PC Board to test hot/cold exhaust.
o Delivered proposal emphasizing cost factor and ease of design and service.
o Traveled to Intel, AMD, Marvel, Western Digital and Spansion sites to recommend
and developed a customized thermal testing fixture based on their specification.
o Reviewed the designs of other engineers prior released to build a Beta tool.
- Mechanical Design Engineer duties included:
o Repackaging of test systems for improvements in usability and cost reduction.
o Re-designed pneumatic air drier.
o Implementing ECOs for core products and updated BOMs.
