Ronald McDonald House Toronto opened the first Ronald McDonald Family Room in the Greater Toronto

Area (GTA) in early 2012, at the Credit Valley Site of The Credit Valley Hospital (CVH) and Trillium Health

Centre in Mississauga, Ontario.

Open from 9am to 9pm, seven days a week, it features a cozy lounge space, kitchenette, four Sleeping

Rooms, and a bathroom with shower facilities --- all steps away from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

(NICU) in the Erin Mills Regional Women’s and Children’s Health Centre.

Our warm 900 square feet of space, the Ronald McDonald Family Room at the Credit Valley Hospital is open

to parents, siblings and extended family members of infants receiving care in the NICU, and draws on a pool

of more than 40 volunteers who provide support to families to help them heal better together.

There is nothing more rewarding then to be a part of the families and offering the empathy and support that

they need.
