2000-2003 Production Manager, BOC Gases
Responsible for the tracking of production and daily employee
expenses as well as maintaining production budget. Conducted
monthly safety meetings with safety committee and plant personnel,
ensuring that all employees were trained and operating within
current standards set forth by OSHA, EPA, and local regulatory
agencies. Assisted regional engineer in root cause analysis of
safety infractions. Implemented and administered IMSS (Integrated
Management Safety Standards) for production, distribution, and
warehouse personnel. Maintained an accurate inventory through SAP
software program. Held the position of regional team leader for
HIRT (Hazardous Incident Response Team).
1997 -2000 FDA Compliance/Quality Assurance Manager, BOC Gases
Responsible for plant wide quality assurance, ensuring that all
industrial and medical gases were manufactured in compliance with
FDA regulations and BOC's cylinder operations manual. Implemented
semi-annual training sessions to ensure that all procedures were
followed; and conducted FDA and customer walk-through inspections.
Calibrated all measuring devices and equipment. Held a team member
position on regional HIRT (Hazardous Incident Response Team) with
hazardous material endorsement CDL. Assisted plant engineer with
safety committee training and plant safety improvement initiatives.
1994-1997 Cryogenics Plant Technician/Supervisor, US Navy
Supervised eight technicians in the handling, testing, and transfer
of liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen. Assisted in the
operation/maintenance of high and low pressure liquid O2N2 producer
systems aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. Scheduled maintenance
for primary distillation units and all auxiliary equipment.
Assisted leading petty officer in safety evaluations of cryogenics
technicians and provided training for plant safety improvements.
1992-1994 Propulsion Plant Assistant Supervisor, US Navy
Assistant Supervisor of the USS Duluth's main machinery room,
responsible for the operation and maintenance of two turbine
generators, a three-stage flash-type distilling plant, various
centrifugal pumps, a two-stage low pressure air compressor, and a
lube oil purification and transfer system. Conducted casualty
control evaluations as an ECCET member (Emergency Casualty Control
Evaluation Team). Promoted to training petty officer for
propulsion plant personnel for both main control and aft
engineering.
